villa bigger club than Sunderland

I have no intent to change anyones mind-I just enjoy reminding deluded fools of their standing in the grand scheme of things.

The current league table tells you your standing in the game.
Everything else is history and nostalgia and you're using Villa's PAST successes to justify your believe that Villa's standing is permanent, and it's not. You've been brilliant in your past. Now you're not. That's football.
When you have to start bringing up attendance figures, and past history, it means your current situation doesn't have much standing.
Surely it's far better to just discuss the merits of the current Villa team and stick to a proper football conversation rather than a juvenile debate about your perception of historical standings?

Right-o mate, we get the picture. You think we're deluded, no one here thinks Aston Villa are anything special. That was established from the off.

If this were a pub, pal, you'd have been thrown out the door head first for being a boring fucker gannin' on about the same shite that no one cares about.

Go back to your board instead of being a pest 'round here.

I think the secret is, if you don't care about Villa, don't start so many threads about us-It's not rocket science

No, Villa were a bigger club. They no longer have any bragging rights really.
In this current era they've done nowt, just like us.

If they've done nowt and we've done nowt recently, how do you think we're a bigger club now? (As your post seems to suggest with the comment that they "were a bigger club")

I didn't say we're bigger. I just said that they used to be bigger. I see us pretty much the same.

Have you even bothered to read the thread title you utter, utter bore?

Villa are bigger than Sunderland, past and present you crank-Hows that for an adult debate?

Christ, this kid thinks Aston Villa are occupying people's minds. Speaking of delusion, mate, you must be on some serious mind bending drugs.

The thread was started because they keep coming up as some sort of big club, but everyone here is scratching their heads thinking why? Nowt special at all.

Good luck with the investment and further progress, mate, but for fuck's sake can you not bother another board? Everton have a forum called the great old club or something - go and bother them with your big club shite.

Have you watched Sunderland?

They are an accident waiting to happen every time they play. The game was almost entirely played in their half today and it was only a lack of cutting edge that prevented a high score. Villa had several key attacking players out and still managed an onslaught. It was a very 1 sided draw and from what I saw, we re streets ahead of them.

A sale of the club would also release the current restraints which would see the team progress further.

Well, your own owner's not got much faith in you - he's looking to sell up. He certainly can't see this 'streets ahead' optimism you exhibit, and there's no queue of buyers for you buying into your belief that you're about the turn a corner and rise up again. From where I'm standing, you're in the same boat as Sunderland. The only difference is that Sunderland fans know they aren't immune relegation, but you seem to believe you are?

They look a decent bet to go down to me.

Sold their two best players, guaranteed impact from them, and bought players who you don't know how they're gonna pan out.

Usually a recipe for trouble.

To be fair, I thought they showed a lot more heart and desire than us, first to most of the second balls.

So, wouldn't surprise me if we were both in the bottom 3 come the end of the season.

Spin it any way you want

The bottom line is that you small timers cream your pants about average attendances.

Your team is fuckin shit-It bores the life out of football fans. You are going nowhere and must hold the record for being last on motd

You are a deluded bunch of cu#ts who think your club is much more thought of than it actually is

Now go & get your cock out ant have a good wank over your attendances but ffs don't look at the gate you got for Exeter
Rattled as fuck

You're having your arse handed to you. Accept it gracefully and thank me. You're a mediocre club from the Midlands who are resting on their former glories. You're selling your best players, and you're 12th in the Premier League behind Bournemouth. That's where you are my friend.
These Sunderland fans aren't deluded, they know they have troubles. You're the one who can't differentiate what you once were from what you currently are.

Oim considerably richer than yoiu

Do you get many Sunderland fans talking bollks on villa forums ?

Of course you would

No player would pick Swansea or Sunderland ahead of Villa-That's just the way of the world

Lets see where Swansea finish up as well. They failed to beat the Premierships whipping boys, just as we did. We will improve whereas they will stand still at best

Craig Gordon told you lot where to go when he joined us. Premiership whipping boys - are those the ones that finished ahead of you last year.

It was a terrible season when Villa won the league. All the big clubs were in transition and Ipswich were their rivals. They just slipped in and won it by default in a poor season.
The same with the European cup. No one could believe it.
It's not as if they had a great dynastic team that ruled for a few seasons. They were shit before (seasons in third division in Tommy Docherty's time and they slipped back to mediocrity and the second division after.
A bigger club than Sunderland!! Don't make me laugh.

Says Charlie Nicholas on sky today, don't agree meself not knocking villa with there European history and that but wouldn't say they were bigger

League wins (7-6).
FA Cup wins (7-2)
League cup wins (5-0)
European Cup wins (1-0).

Even ignoring Villas European history they piss all ower us.

"faith" who said anything about faith? His life has changed and he can no longer commit to the ideal-This has nothing to do with faith. If you're looking to patronise someone, fuck off somewhere else-As I said previously, you are a boring **** who hasn't even bothered to read the thread title before diving in with his patronising shit.

From where you're standing, it is clear that you know fuck all so save your drivel for someone who gives a fuck eh?

Of course none of it matters-Until Sunderland fans realise how deluded they are though, it will carry on.

Look at the Bent thread on here when he was leaving-They couldn't believe it at first and when the penny slowly dropped, it became "Judas" etc. Look at the threas when Delph was selected for England and how many on here were claiming Cattermole should have been ahead of him.

It is ignorance and stupidity that is annoying and pointless arguing with. I prefer to continually remind these deluded fools of their standing within the Premier League-The responses are often quite amusing.
Genuine question, why do you come onto a Sunderland message board, a club so insignificant that we are merely alsorans in the league. Is your life really that shit that you spend your Saturday night posting on a small time clubs message board? Do you not think that's odd?

A Villa supporter on a Sunderland website telling a Sunderland supporter to f off somewhere else.
That just about sums up how reasonable you are

They were actually awesome for the seasons leading up to the title winning season, always finishing top 4 or 5, winning the league cup twice, beating Liverpool 5-1 which was their biggest defeat until Stoke last season. it wasn't a fluke and who were these so called "big clubs in transition"? Notts Forest & Liverpool dominated and we beat them both fair & square. If you want to knock that side, you should quote the amount of games Ipswich had to play compared to us-That is the only "default" you can throw at us.

To suggest Villa won the League and the European Cup is delusion of the highest degree, even by this boards standards
