Won't sell for less than £7.1M, is it worth the gamble? Will he end up the same way other gambles have like Altidore, Graham. He has just come on form, not sure about this signing though if it happens, I'm sure Short will be more savvy with the money these days.

For that price I would gamble. Put it into perspective, we were linked with Haller for the same price.

That's true but I would of liked us to go for a proven goal scorer who is consistent, if it didn't pay off that could be more money into the black hole, not so bad if he is on a low wage though considering Wickham is off the books.

He is in the same bracket as M'Vila....potentially a way better player than Sunderland could normally ever sign or an utter flop
