He did well for us last season, steadied the ship after Westwood and had a great rapport with the fans. Yes he had a poor start this season and the Southampton game probably destroyed his confidence - as it would for any keeper - but for people to suddenly start demanding his head and slagging him off is just ridiculous.

It's not ridiculous at all. He isn't performing well enough when given an opportunity.

Pantilimon is what we need. The next level up is a European standard keeper which we won't get unless we unearth one.

We don't, Pants no1, Jordan Pickford no2 - he's a very talented young goalkeeper and we need to back him. He has the potential to play for England in 4 or 5 years time
 
Forgot about Pickford. Hopefully he's as good as they say and challenges for the number one position next year

He's done wonderfully well this year and I was against his signing. Who could we get who is better?

Think we should look at finding a Championship club for him (where he can play every match) and signing a journeyman for #2, but I have no clue how good he actually is right now.
 
A lot of players would look pretty shit if you sat them on the bench collecting splinters since February and then made them start away to Chelsea.

For a young lad, he's very good. Needs some better experience but he's certainly possibly of making a big future for himself, he's got an easy 15 years left in his career.
