I don't get that argument at all I'm afraid. He is innocent until prove guilty. He does not, through his work, have any unsupervised contact with children. So why should he not be allowed to continue? Just because he is 'in the public eye'? Because kids attend games? I just don't see the logic.
Where I think the club have - massively - shot themselves in the foot, is by suspending him when he was first arrested. As a result of that, they have made it look like the only reason he is allowed to play is to help us stay up.
What, that in the circumstances I don't think it's right to make him available for selection? I don't, doesn't mean I think he's guilty, just think that whilst it's a possibility the club should restrain his option to represent them until it's sorted. The rest of your paragraph![]()
How about paying one of your players wages while they are in jail. Sounds unlikely I know. But it would certainly be interesting.Would be interesting to see the reaction of those with no issue of him remaining in the squad if Johnson was a Newcastle player.
And I bet there will be a canny few Newcastle supporters who supported Andy Carroll and Joey Barton who will be condemning Johnson.Would be interesting to see the reaction of those with no issue of him remaining in the squad if Johnson was a Newcastle player.

Smacks of f***ing desperation by the club and indicates how shit the squad is. There simply are no other options.
You either believe in innocent until proven guilty or you don't. You are clearly the latter. What, that in the circumstances I don't think it's right to make him available for selection? The conversation between player and club was probably fairly simple. They won't sack him because he has not (at this moment in time) been found guilty of anything. So they had the option of either suspending him or letting him play on. And as Johnson is clearly interested in playing football and they pay him fuck loads of money to do so, they presumably came to the conclusion that it would be beneficial for club and player to continue as normal. What, that in the circumstances I don't think it's right to make him available for selection? What a load of shite man. I've got no bearing as to whether he's innocent or guilty given I've obviously never seen or heard any evidence of any sort regarding the matter. However, the fact the police have charged him does clearly suggest that there is a case to investigate. And given the nature of the crime coupled with the nature of our sport I just don't feel it's right that he should be in a position to represent us whilst this situation is ongoing. You either believe in innocent until proven guilty or you don't. The PR backlash against the club will be huge if he's found guilty, very surprised that we haven't suspended him.
