The plane fly past is back on...

Mags at graft all want this to happen. Said it'll be funny as fuck when we gan down.

A couple of points.

What do you expect them to say? That they'll be sitting in gravy stained skunk tops shaking their fists at the sky?

Secondly when we go down? Were these mystic mags? :)

There are no certainties in this life bar a plane will interupt their latest protests because they lost yet another derby...

It was equally as sad before we lost to Palace. Small time beyond years, the mags really are the be all and end all to some.
Hence why we get "always in our shadow" bollocks. Of all the things they could have put on a banner to take the piss 5 in a row is the worst of the lot, it's not even a derby record.

Being serious for one minute, without any point scoring for teams #proplane or #conair, it would be nice to raise a bit more cash for charity.

Nothing donated from now will be used for the plane so if you have a few quid.

Please send any donations to the following email address via paypal;

[email protected]

If we get to £1500 I will donate a family size bag of revels to the SMB.

Being serious, not a chance. Raising money for charity is one thing, being associated with this aberration is another. And you lot would use the extra money as some kind of justification, and you know it.

Plus @Jardin removing the orange revels is more Mag-like behaviour tbh.

Still here then?

I've pulled you a few times about the poll you keep mentioning as if it's evidence that all of our supporters are against this idea, you still haven't acknowledged that the 90 people that voted in it (although a few we know weren't real votes) is less than the amount of people who donated their hard earned cash for this to go ahead.

I'm sure there are other things as well but it was bad enough reading the first time so I'm not going back again to check. Every time people put you right you completely ignore them and talk about something else.

You should feel bad mate, you've got me to the point I almost wish I couldn't read ;)
I see what you did there.

No, but I got the one below :)

I actually signed up to the email address that's been posted on here a few years ago when I moved house and I was in between net providers. I'd never logged on to it for several months prior to the last week so the likes of the above aren't a problem :)
The Honorable Mr Kones was in charge of roads. Class.

It was always intended to have a charitable component, from page one of the original thread , Bernard bresslaw was the first donation on the gofundme me site for it but wouldn't run it because he had ( understandably ) had enough .

Doesn't change anything, people don't want to be associated with this in any way. If the total goes up, the pro-plane camp would point to it as some kind of justification or that the idea is more popular than it is. At least, as it stands, we can just write it off as a few people on the internet behaving like Mags.

Can I stop being serious now?

Speaking as one early contributor, the people that raised the money did and are just dissapointed they have been left looking as if the stunt was the be all and end all by mean spirited others and that was unexpected to be fair.
That feeling would how ever only be compounded by allowing those others to totally prevent what they have already spoiled , and made " small time" . So the plane goes anyway

Any chance of a little disclaimer on the banner, along the lines of 'this banner does not reflect the positions and opinions of all Sunderland fans' or do you pay by the letter?

If you hire a plane to fly over the Wongadome, I'm not sure what you thought was going to happen. Like it or not the plane is the be all and end all and any charity element is going to be lost in the headline, it's the kind of shite Steve Wraith pulls and I hoped we were better than him. It hasn't been spoiled by anyone, it was a horrific idea from the start.

Seriously though, can we stop being serious?

Was a little funny when they were planning a plane too, after this weeks capitulation it seems ill advised.

Just sack it off and give the money to a local charity.

This thread needs to be locked

I look on every day and it's f***ing groundhog day!!!
Exactly the same comments!

You do know that over a hundred people contributed, so if the money was sacked off and given to local charity this would be fraudulent?
Like me taking money off my mates to run a bus to Stoke away, then deciding at the last minute when Id recieved the money to spend it on something else.
It can't be done
Don't suggest it

Lock this thread or better still delete it.
It's a f***ing embarrasment the folk getting their knickers in a twist over such a little bit of banter which means fuck all in the scheme of thing

Please please make this stop

[QUOTE="Maximus, post: 20195875,

Will you write a song for it Marra?[/QUOTE]

Well the banner's packed and Ready to Go
'Till Sunday time will pass so slow
I can't wait for this greatest fly by show

Getting this far not without some fuss
I just hope Mags won't laugh at us
Cos that will hurt my feelings oh so much

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll laugh at me
Tell me that it's 5 all in a row
Well I'm leaving on a small plane
Don't know when I'll be back again
Oh Babe I have to go

I would go for the majority of Sunderland fans.

I think the plane means more to those who are against it than what it does to those organising it
I would have no objection to thanking them for the 6 points for staying up, as our beneficent. Doing it now is as mag like as it comes. Small time, Barclays advert type shite, of the highest order.
