so we're signing the dirty bastard who stamped on Gordon's arm, great

seriously though it's a good signing on paper but unless Gus has finally decided to give up on his 'system' having an out and out goalscorer means fuck all as we just happen to create fuck all
Aye nowt so fickle as a desperate sunderland fan in full on transfer frenzy. And yes there is no doubt he will improve us.....but the lad has been rightly condemned by plenty on here

Can anyone explain to me why the he'll Defoe would sign for us , other than no teams being able to or wanting to match his personal terms ?

If you take off your red and white specs , look at his career , look at his motivation , and tell me why?

I just don't get it

Poyet? Or simply hard cash

Daily mirror have got quotes from defoe today saying "he felt sharp in training today and "can't wait to start scoring goals for Sunderland".

Didn't Jozy say something similar when he signed

Hmm, aye, I wonder why he'd turn down playing in some backwater an arse hair away from the Arctic circle for megabucks, to go and be the main striker for a club that gets 45,000 crowds in the most competitive league in the world?

Obviously doing it for the money.
