That's a really good point.Plus Phillips played til he was 40. Similar players.

And everything after that suggested that will pulled the plug on that and pushed for a loan deal, spending the money on Rodwell instead when that became available.
Mags saying we parted with jozy AND 7.2m so with wages its well over a 20m investment also he will get no service from our wank midfield , how long ago is it since we won at the tip ? Three weeks ?
You do realise your "feelings" mean fuck all?My feelings on this over last 24hours.
last night - saw the early exchanges of this thread and thought not a chance.
This morning - got to work without hearing radio or news and the resident Arsenal fan mentioned it. I dismissed it completely and said not a chance.
Lunchtime - noticed it was actually real and got excited.
Hometime - really excited. Swap Altidore for Defoe, absolute no brainer.
Now - I have to say I'm not so sure. Right now, this season, swap for Jozy, he's a great signing. But if 3.5 year deal at 70k is true it is financial suicide. We'll be desperate to get shot of him in < 2 year.
So mixed feelings creeping in. Great for now, bad longer term.
And what stopped you?Was about to post this.
Probably made to wear his sister's hand me downs or summit.I know you're someone's alter ego for the sole purpose of getting bites but seriously, what's the f***ing point in this shit?
To be honest mate, being a London lad and all that he might only be here for a season and a half if he does well for us and someone else tempts him away so we might end up not even paying half that amount on his wages in the grand scheme of things. The important thing is the present and we need him to get us out of the mess we're in. There'll be time to worry about the other stuff at the end of the season. My feelings on this over last 24hours.

I was also looking at all those balls into the box and midfielders supporting with pace.Just look at those goals. I can't believe we've swapped One Goal Altidore for this lad. I feel like weeping tears of joy! HALLELUJAH
that and a creative midfielderDefoe has pace and movement and can finish. All we need now is a quick left sided attacking player and its a decent window for us.
