Reports at the time stated that a £14m fee was agreed, and that the decision was Borini's to make.

Clueless of course, not like I watched him for years and years and know his current abilities better than you or anything. I'm sure you saw a few YouTube clips of him though

We miss that fluidity in the centre. If only Rodwell could show us something like that. Maybe there's something like Ki in him if he's ever fully fit. Very frustrating at times. I don't hate Gomez like some and I realise he's the best at picking out a forward pass but he's miles too slow and carries the ball in a really slow way too. Ki was by far the best at that furthest forward midfield role.

actually I'll take that point, cattermole does have surprisingly good vision, but the point still stands that we need that kind of player. Ki would have been a great choice, hopefully we can find someone like him
