Harry Kane

I wonder how Kane would do playing out wide

Good forwards will score goals wherever they play across the forward three; some of the most prolific goalscorers in the world right now play off the left and right of a forward three, not in the centre. I wish people would stop making excuses for Wickham; he spends a lot of time in and around the opposition box but is simply not returning the goals that we need him to.

Again? Playing for a top 6 team and whats his record, 1 in 4?

Lacks pace, poor in the air, average movement. If we were to sign him id be devastated. Various amount of young strikers have done well in short spurts but have been poor players.

Neil Mellor, Victor Anichebe, Carlton Cole. Don't see any star quality with Kane.

We can only dream of a world in which Connor Wickham scores 1 in 4.

Ignorant statement to be honest. Wickham will have a better career than Kane.

As soon as we fill the Borini role, Wickham will show his worth.
Good wind up. Like your sense of humor. Someone also said Wikham was the best 21 year old in the Premier League. Two scorers are 21 and they looked way advance and matured than our regressing Wickham tonight.

I am definitely not one for this smiley malarkey, but sometimes they are simply essential.

I said I wondered how he'd do out wide. Hardly making excuses for Wickham who I have criticised plenty.

Theres nobody in this league that looks as unstoppable as Wickham when he has the ball running towards goal in his age class. Wickham is far from regressing just being played out of position to benefit the team.

Only 21 years old and is our best striker, he will only get better with a run of games up front.

Average, not much between him and Wickham at this point imo.

However, if Pochettino is as good for him as he was for Jay Rodriguez, who before MP went there was average as well, he could kick on.

Not sure if your serious.

Very serious mate, you may not agree but interesting debate.

Wickham is getting pelters but hes playing in a poor team currently and hasn't had a proper run of games up front since last season. As soon as we play Wickham centre forward for 10 games the lad will net.

You are either on a wind up, or you are on drugs. I suggest you fuck off and/or talk to FRANK.

He is doing fuck all to benefit the team. Every time we play the opposition right back has a field day. In very recent home games, for example, Coleman won a penalty, Ivanovic missed a sitter, Zabaleta scored, and Jenkinson missed a sitter.

Only 21 years old and is our best striker,

He is not and probably never will be as good as Fletcher, and Fletcher is no superstar.

he will only get better with a run of games up front.

After three years of him returning roughly fuck all, I am sick of hearing this bullshit. Aside from three good weeks his Sunderland career has been Jozy-esque.

How many of those prolific goalscorers end up in a left back position quite a few times in a game? He also spends a time in and around our own box (left of it mainly) to be fair to him due to the fact we normally defend more of the game than attack.

I'm not making excuses for him but he's not exactly given the same role as Jozy/Fletcher are given yet all 3 are quite often judged and compared on their goal return. Imagine if Jozy (or even Fletcher) had to play in the role Wickham does, this place would be in a meltdown over Jozy  and would Fletcher have scored as many as he has?

.

Both points opinions cant really argue this.

Hes a striker man, of course he wont be totally effective there  We took pointd from some of those games you listed, doubt we would have if Fletcher, Jozy or Graham had filled to role.

.

Did better than him last season. Also will start over Fletcher Wickham once Ricky or Giacherrini take up the left forward role

As a teenager? he kept us up last season and youre already willing to write him off when he hasn't played 3 games in his proper position.

Your comments about the opposing full back is back on.

He spends as much time in the opposition box as anybody. He doesn't score goals or even really threaten to. Goals aside, Fletcher has the advantage of being a much, much better footballer.

Yes, and the comment is 100% valid.

Don't think he's anything special but ice to see Spurs giving home grown talent a chance ahead of overrated imported talent that aren't doing the job.
Wish Poyet would try it .
Surely one of our U21's would do better than Altidore.
