"Put that on that f@@@@r SMB "

Count ?

I'd guess not, since most people sledge before the predictable happens. Hardly Waugh-esque to have a go at a number 11 in an uncouth fashion after he's bowled first ball. And as already pointed out, was more of a send off. :)

@AFCSR6 Correction to my earlier post mate. Aleem Dar has still only been sledged once buthas now officially recieved a send off (a fuck off to your average punter) after a recent innings which failed to last long enough for fully blown sledging to develop.

My apologies to the cricket forum in it's entirety and particuarly Mr Dar who has agreed to settle this matter out of court. A sizable donation will be made to a charity of Mr Dar's choice shortly

Top banter Greavsie fella.

Weird one this cos I posted in an earlier thread about blokes who sledge kids in senior games being knobs yet I had a pop at a wikky when he came into bat a few weeks ago, in retaliation for his crap sledginging/craic when I'd batted earlier. He was 14 or 15.
They have to learn mate , it's our responsibility to bring them on ( reasonably obviously ) . It's my honest opinion that a lad who doesn't compete like for like with blokes by 15 -16 hasn't got what's needed for good standard cricket and is unlikely to find it much after that.
The wicky had it coming and owes you for the lesson , give it , you take it.

Don't think it was because you are a number 11 to be fair to the lad

I know. And I couldn't care, tbh. The comment probably would have made me laugh if not for the needless swearing. Clearly a jovial comment on here, and apparent insult towards yourself, has left a bitter taste in the LCC mouths towards me. Ho hum. Don't think I play against yourselves again this season, so one less chance for me to be shown up, again.

Never rise to the bait - if you do they've got you!!

Saw dust incident - aleem dar turns up pissed for the game but rather than keep his head down and not mention it he decides to start bragging on about it so looking even more gormless than usual and pissing a few of the lads off he was given the dogs bodyjob of the day of going fine leg to fine leg and getting anything we needed. Well it was shite weather so @Connolly_31 needed some sawbust for the footholes so aleem is told to get some from the far end of the ground, so he goes to get some and starts picking it up and bits fall through his hands as it often would so aleem decides the best course of action is to put a handfull in his pocket and not bother carrying any of it over in his hands as it might spill abit at this point everyone is shouting what the hell are you doing as he casually ignores us and procedes to sprinkle the littlest amount of sawbust known to man on the foothole then walks off as though hes done a good job, the umpire turns to me and goes "is he a full shilling" as about three of our team are holding @Connolly_31 back from killing aleem

Am fuckin crying here :D:D:D

Sledging is an important part of the game for me. Anyone who has played in premier league or old senior against test and county players will know about this. Petty squabbles from the milburngate shopping league should be kept of the forum

Ive played in the Senior league and the milburngate shopping league and to be honest I think sledging is a bit daft in both. Making the odd comment about a players shot selection or whatever is one thing but some of the stuff Ive heard in senior league and NEDL is playground stuff.

Get on with the game

We were struggling to take the opening wicket a East Rainton yesterday, I said to the batter they look like rain clouds better get a shift on....looks at me smiles, bowler bowls, shoulder arms and returns to pavilion. He give me a lovely look on the way back. Not technically a sledge but I enjoyed it.
