I would imagine there would be some form of contact made to borini/his agent to see if there's an interest in the move before wasting time trying to agree a fee?
What if Borini had said i want to see a contract offer?

You havent mentioned the childish statement released about Colback. Or the pink seats. Tell everyone about the pink seatsAbsolute rubbish.
Tell me how the way we've handled the Connor Wickham situation is not amateur? Or, if it's true, the Borini negotiations. Or found ourselves hiring a new manager every year, or for no good reason f***ing up the away support application process, or letting Colback (and others) run down his contract and leave for nowt
Youd have thought someone at the club would have his or his agents mobile numbers and gave them a quick buzz to ask before doing it though![]()
There are so many conflicting stories flying about, some quite reliable sources claiming totally contradictory information, it's getting hard to know what's going on.
I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of this is his agent desperately trying to flush other interest out, hoping for a team in Serie A maybe?[/QUOTE]
I would be, if he was I doubt he'd be talking about how Borini wanted to stay at Liverpool.
Fair enough like but I'm not sure how a concrete bid would change his mind any more than a suggestion of a bid, i just think it seems like a waste of time if there's no interest from the player. It's true that Borini has always been clear about wanting to be at Liverpool this season. But it's also reasonable for us to have thought that he might be willing to change his mind once Liverpool started buying other forwards, and once they accepted a bid for him. There's nothing "poor" about us having tested the waters with a concrete bid, and seeing what Borini thought once presented with a firm decision.
There are any number of players who might change their mind under the circumstances.
If that's the case so be it likeWhat if Borini had said i want to see a contract offer?

Not the entire club, but when it comes to transfers there does seem to be a lack experience and/or knowledge or at least was. Hopefully lessons have been learnt though. One result of that those mistakes is that the club may take longer to complete deals than other clubs as they must ensure everything is correct.Fair one, that was a fuck up! The club admitted as such, doesn't mean the entire running of the club is rank and incompetent. We wouldn't be surviving as a large business if it were. Too many on here hate all things SAFC (not you by the way).
I genuinely don't know what you're referring to, I've never had an issue.
Suppose so, guess we will just have to wait and see how it plays out.Human nature. It's easier to dismiss something that isn't actually there.

Not said that - could have been played more in our team or sold earlier. Actually we ignored the lad, shipped him out to everywhere under the sun and got lucky as fuck that he scored some goals at the end of the season which have kept us up. And now, what are we doing about it? It doesn't look to be alot and we face ending next season with a replica of the Colback scenario.

Fabio Borini's agent has told the Italian media that the forward will be turning down Sunderland's offer to fight for his place at Liverpool
I haven't felt this sad since Diana died. Might as well wrap the whole thing in now, literally no point in even trying this season.

Tbh I dont know why Borini would try to fight for his place at Liverpool, if they do get Remy in as well he's fourth choice striker.

Can't see him breaking into consistently the first team though.Liverpool are one of the worlds very biggest football clubs, Borini will rightfully want to try and make it there if he can. He will get plenty of opportunities there this season with them also having European football.
