T20 - Worcester Sauce v Durham Arab Airlines

Hugely disappointing two days, (and a long drive home now), but that's the nature of the T20, great when you win but horrible losing like that. Bowlers can be heroes one week and villains the next. A poor over from Hastings followed by the worst over I've seen Rushy bowl cost us this game. The lads have a week off now, let's hope they can get back to winning ways in the championship v Lancs.

Personal abuse against any of the players is uncalled for and just shows the ignorance of some people. The lads try their best, and sometimes their best falls short of what we the supporters want, but it's not for lack of trying. The morons who abuse players after a bad game forget about the good performances and only focus on the bad.

Cricket isn't a game for fair weather supporters, we have to take the good with the bad, especially in T20, it's a game of fine margins, get them wrong and you're punished. Not one of the idiots calling Chris Rushworth today will have felt worse than he did when he walked off the field, he's been the one ever present bowler this season when all the others have succumbed to injury at one point or another, he certainly doesn't deserve the abuse he got tonight.

Clearly people who have forgot/weren't around during the early years of a FC county. A couple of defeats in the T20 is a mere pebble dropped in the ocean to what we experienced in the early days of coming last in everything and savouring one win all season. Yet I loved every minute of it all back then as a Junior Member.

Exacrly this. I wonder how many of those people abusing Rushy will know we have a game next Sunday? Or how many have ever been to a Championship game.

I get wound up on here plenty and I'm a right whingy fucker I know, but I would never seek out a player to abuse them.

Chris Rushworth has been outstanding for Durham CCC for the last 3 years. A workhorse who has given his all every time.
Yes I accept he bowled a terrible last over but how many times has he pulled us out the shit. He didn't do it on purpose and definetely doesn't deserve any abuse from moron's who don't know what they're talking about.

One lad down Bishop Auckland even offered to give Rushworth a MasterClass in Yorker bowling. Rushy has said he will go to wherever the lad is playing next week for this. The lads arse then dropped
 
Rushy has been absolutely outstanding for Durham, just sadly for him the game was televised.

Idiots will always crawl out when it's going wrong... Wankers
