T20 - Worcester Sauce v Durham Arab Airlines

dont mind losing a game at all. the nature of t20 lends itself to these sort of finishes. as for rushworth, he bowled us to a win a notts, so it shows he has more than enough to bowl the last over.

as for hastings, it is a crime to bowl no balls but he did have figures of 3 for 9 at one stage and imo, he will win us more games than he loses.

now to the incident of the catch. it was a straightforward decision and for the life of me, i cant understand where the umps are coming from. a catch taken and a fielder touching the boundary has been a six since WG Grace was playing. then to compoubd the error by admiting it was a six but they couldn't change a score. again ridiculous as if rain had come, the score would have been adjusted again

this adds to the, for me, the completey dodgy game v lancashir

wont let me edit. completely dodgy game v lancashire, things are not going our way

The 6 thing was amazing. I've played cricket since I was 10 year old and there has never been any doubt that it is a 6 in that situation. I couldn't believe the commentators and experts didn't pick up on it immediately either - it seemed to take than a few overs to cotton on. One of the strangest things I've seen watching cricket that professional umpires didn't know what under 13 cricketers all over the country know.

exactly. watching it live, i thought once they went to the tv ump, it would simply be changed. mark butcher at the start of the worcester innings could not believe the decision and even straussy stated it was hard to believe

i am just hoping that nothing comes out in a few years re betting. two t20s being influenced by decisions against durham

dont know if you read the journal about the lancs home match, where i took75 seconds for one of their batsman to face, only 60 allowed. also my real gripe was the changing of the cut off time, as lancs bowlers had long run ups and took ages. this was proved again on friday in their gfame v the yorkies but this time they were docked 6 runs

The worst part about it is that it has NEVER been a four four so how could that even be given?? I thought at the time Muchall actually looked puzzled and asked the umpire. Rightly so.

Perhaps Durham should notify the ACSU...... I hope the least they've done is an official complaint to the ECB.

it was stated at the interval that the umps acknowledged it was a six but they were not allowed to adjust the score at the end of an innings.

that is the ridiculous part imo, as scores are adjusted up and down for dl in one day and t 20s

it really needs the ecb to put out a statement on this

I still don't know where they got a 4 from.

It was either 6 or whatever the batsman had ran, had the fielder not touched the boundary - but never a 4

exactly. a very strange incident it was. anyone who has seen it, played the game or just watched, called for a 6. apart from graham fowler who was tweeting athers to say it was a 4
