I rarely see this consistent solid player they talk about.
We've seen him about 4 or 5 times this season.

I agree. We've seen him about 4 or 5 times this season.
So, if I am reading this right, if he goes he is a very good player that we should have made more of an effort to hold on to, but if he stays he is shite and can only pass sideways and the club needs to show more ambition? What next? Ducking stools?
That's why you overpay him simple....£20k a week is not bad in this day and age. If he leaves we'll need to spend £5-6 million to replace him plus wages so it's a no brainer to try to keep him. I really hope he stays but if he wants a new challenge somewhere else there's not much we can do.
I agree.
Tbf when he does play well he looks a very useful player, when he's poor though he's totally anonymous.
Id be disappointed If catts went mind ya love catts merocky said:Same here
(and yes before anyone starts I include Cattermole in that)
Nope
Where did you hear this?To West Ham?
Shame. I'd have hoped to keep him.
No big loss imo...limited player at best...To West Ham?
Shame. I'd have hoped to keep him.
particularly central midfieldersnobody should be happy to lose colback, after last years recruitment and this summers exodus we should be desperate to hold onto our decent first team players. for me he is in a different league to bridcutt aswell.
Exactly. When you hear some people you would think it was Eden Hazard. Wouldn't be a miss. Has a good game now and then.No big loss imo...limited player at best...
if hes asking for a 3yr contract on 1m a year, its obviously 3m. it would cost more than 3m to replace him what with agents fees and signing on fees. id pay it£20k a week is not bad in this day and age. I see what you are saying but it might mean we look around for an up and coming midfielder with more drive and passion and capable of chipping in with more goals than Colback who, at times, could be excellent but all too often was anonymous.if hes asking for a 3yr contract on 1m a year, its obviously 3m. it would cost more than 3m to replace him what with agents fees and signing on fees. id pay it
