Anyone who has access to all that cardio vascular equipment on a daily basis has no excuse being that big. You used to be a top flight footballer ffs.

Never had a problem with him till he rewrote history to the press, basically the utter f***ing shit you are spouting now, so he fooled you as well as the press.
When Hull bin him he will go on and on and on about how he got them to an FA cup final, even though Crosby's FA cup run was a bigger achievement.

He's an ok manager, probably a decent fella in the pub, but a blame avoiding shit slanging twat anarl. It is his avoidance of any blame that will always limit his managerial ability imo.
What part of history did he re- write? Seems to be a popular theme on here that one yet nobody can actually back the claim up!
Funny that.

Utter bollocks
So he never gets asked about us it's just him holding court having a pop when he feels like it?
Every manager doesn't feel aggrieved when sacked?
And their aren't 1000s of posts in this forum about him?

Curious as to which of those is utter bollocks?

Reidy got loads more stick than him at the end, plus even a beer in the face!
He took it on the chin and looks back on the good times like a grown-up manager should ffs
Reidy did get stick but not the personal abuse Bruce was subject too that's the difference.

He got sacked by sunderland because of the terrible form over the final year of his tenure. He claims the fans drove him out because the mags beat us.

Also, your claims about Bruce just being asked questions are f***ing laughable, he has gone out of his way in dozens of media interviews to raise the sunderland issue without being asked.

The bloke had 1001 excuses for defeats when our manager, never ever his fault. The bloke is a f***ing wanker, and so are you for defending him.

Firstly he NEVER said he was sacked because of his roots.what he said was it didn't help.Fat Geordie bastard chants back that up. So you are completely WRONG on first point.

Secondly you find me one interview where he has brought up his time here without our name being linked first.E.g just after he was sacked or when we played them. Please don't mention his statue quip as that just a bit of tongue in cheek self deprecating banter.

Thirdly it seems you have an issue with anybody who has a contrary opinion to you as calling me a wanker shows.

I'm not disputing it was time for him to go but can't deny he got more grief than any manager I've known and he far from the worst and a lot of that had to do with him being a Geordie.
Can't agree with this. I think a lot of fans gave him a lot more patience than he would normally have received. Most peoples gripes with him stem from him making a huge issue with his Geordie roots in the press to deflect away from his absolutely shocking record at the time of his sacking. The bloke blames everyone but himself. Hull will go down next year and he ll blame the Europa League. It's how he operates.

Steve Bruce was very well supported by the majority of Sunderland fans, he just lost his way somewhat, he was unlucky with what happened with Bent and Gyan, he should of bowed out with dignity and stop having cheap shots at Sunderland and give it a rest and move on.

I have an issue with you because you are spouting utter shite/lies.

he's a card is steve.... he was having whinge in the press this week because ferguson "dropped" him from the man u cup final team in '96, which he claims was one of the lowest points of his career...

..but he hadn't actually played the previous 3 games due to injury :)

This jardine is either a mag or a relative of bruce.
No I just see it for what it is.I have no bitterness towards Bruce at all unlike 95% of posters on here.
If you've played sport to any level you will realise that when your not deemed good enough and need to
move on then you naturally feel like proving a point to whoever made that decision.
To be fair after beating us 3 times this season I thought he was very dignified and never once tried to rub it in.
After that cup win id have been over to all those fans who were giving me dogs abuse and reminding them just what the score was make no mistake.
