Short Is Failing Us

Like I said, respect the bloke for sticking by us. But last year he definitely didn't make a 'loss' that's for certain.

Youre being very very simplistic if you think he just takes any surplus money from the club and it goes in his pocket.............

For this financial year we will get around £19 million more than then last one in TV money and the losses for the year just posted were £23 million before tranfer dealings..........

The club is still spending close to £3 for every £2 it takes in...............

Upside this summer is that our wage bill will be cut massively with about 10 of our big earners out of contract. Even more so, if we're relegated.

Our revenue might go down a bit with relegation.
We would be in a stronger position financially if we can stay up. We then need to replace half a squad yet again though.

Aye but when we do go down theres £40million of TV revenue disappears in an instant...............

surely he had a good look at him prior to signing and realised his shortfalls , pisspoor signing for a side desperate for a striker to hit the ground running

I was taken in by his highlights reel but as we've previous with this you can never tell what a player is like until you see him live.

It's also a big risk signing a South American player due to the amount of time it often takes them to adapt. In hindsight, January was not the time to sign Scocco...if ever![DOUBLEPOST=1396698233][/DOUBLEPOST]
It's still not inevitable but is much more likely.

That's how it works, you see?

I thought it was inevitable based on relegations we've experienced before. The writing was on the wall, there was still time to address the situation in January but we didn't.

Not hindsight tho is it with this signing , it was striker for now we needed and this was a massive risk , in fact it was ludicrous , Hull showed us how to do it and its paid off for them , this job is just too big for Poyet

Hull did it the right way, short term anyway. Long and or Jelavic would have likely saved our season.

even chipping in with 3 or 4 goals would have gotten us a few more points , what a f***ing state we aein

I know, desperate isn't it? But it's what we're accustomed to now. We're always scratting around for goals and it's rarely entertaining to watch.

Yes but his shortfall is the fact he was nowhere near match fit due to the timing of the season in Argentina.

Gus still thought he could get him fit in time to be of use to us but has since admitted he was wrong.........

how can a player that has played at this level and know how competitive it is be so naive to think he could get him up to fitness for this league , bizarre decision , in fact seriously worrying
