Hi man city fan in peace here. I have been upto your place about 6 times now. Been a guest in one of your executive boxes with some Sunderland mates of mine. I have to say without blowing smoke up your arse that you are incredible supporters. To attract 40000 plus in tough times with up and down football is a credit to you. I have been following city 30 years and I will never forget your following the day you went down and filled the platt lane and about a third of the kip pax. Must have been 15,000 that day. Alls I remember is Quinn's scored for us and your goaly was ugly and Gary Bennett and gabiadini played. Your passion for wembley and threads about traffalger square remind me of when we played united in a semi a few years back. We were totally up for it and they treated it like just another game. This is what we did last year and I hope we don't do it again or you will definitely turn us over!!! Hope to have a pint with some of you at wembley!!! Enjoy the day...
ood lad! Going to be a good weekend regardless,. But we need this more than you! And the pints are on you cos your clubs got more cash;):D

Understatement of the decade....!!

If you cant pull in there, then its time to quit!

The only neet club where I could have a line without fear, just nip to the room :D

Years ago like, honest

I've always liked City fans. Maine Road was one of my favourite away trips. They were amazing to us the day we got relegated down there. But if they are to lose only one more game this season, I'm hoping it will be on March 2nd, because we really do need it more than them ;)

Tony Norman!! Your keeper. Just googled it. I remember when Craig Russell signed for us quite a few of his mates used to come to Manchester to support him. You could see he was Sunderland through and through and was never going to settle. Watching all your threads about tickets. Even though we are both allocated 30 odds husband each, club wembley will be full of city and Sunderland fans. I think you will probably have 42000 and us similar or slightly less.

Can you really see it happening again?

I just hope youse go far in the champs league and forget about the lowly Carling cup.

I hope not because it was a Shite day. Brought us right back down to earth with a bump.

Started in the morning when we were buying papers telling us Mancini was going, the weather was poor, fans were fighting with each other in the stands due to too much ale and people standing/sitting debate and to cap it off, when we lost and left the stadium it was absolutely pissing down and we got soaked.

I'm not sure. You are our bogey team to some extent but that is at your ground. If it was this weekend with Aguero, Fernandino and Nasri out I wouldn't be confident.

With those three back I think we will have to have an off day but who knows.

Bogey team???? Get the fuck outta here man. You're right we do seem to have a hoodoo at our place though. But we got to win a few at your place before we get that title ( I thought that 3-3 was our year), saying that though If we win in the final...................

I hope Toure, Nasri, Aguero, kompany, fernandino and negredo, are all out of the final

The pointless point regarding Man It'd might easily apply to Sunderland, only in a smaller radius. I recall a report in the paper when we were at Roker Park and it stated that for a crowd of 28,000 only 7,000 would live in Sunderland. I'm not suggesting in any way we have a prawn sandwich brigade, but it perhaps offered an indication of the long standing loyalty of say, Co. Durham, in supporting Sunderland.

@Bluefan

Are City fans going to Trafalgar Square on the Saturday night ?
No. Might be a few observers watching you lot but won't be many.[DOUBLEPOST=1392328724][/DOUBLEPOST]

Well we do play Stoke the week before so your never know. With Charlie dirty bastard Adam playing anything could happen.

This is probably true, but it's more to do with local industry. Shipbuilding, mining etc.

Man U plastics may not go to the game, ever. But they pollute every national radio station when there's a football phone in. The amount of these parasites that have southern accents is nauseating.

@Bluefan whats with the name "Rags" for Man U fans?? I cant understand the reference can you help....? Would make more sence with the Newcastle (mags) tbh

Also genuine question... do you ever get bored of Wembley? For example is a FA Cup semi final or the community cup something which generates interest in your fan base or is it just another game :lol:I assume a final is actually a big thing still though!?!

Our lot are meeting up with a City season ticket holder who we have known for years and he is staying with us overnight in the hotel on the Saturday and coming out for a beer with us in London (we will probably drag him down to Trafalgar Square at some point). We will have a beer Saturday and go our separate ways on the Sunday morning and we will all still be friends whatever the outcome.

Good lads the City fans in my experience and I briefly lived within 500 yards of Maine road when I was a student.

I'm not bored of it but can't answer for everyone. We have virtually sold out this game again to ST holders only.

The Semi finals were good as one was beating the rags and the other Chelsea and a lot of blue card members at the latter who didn't get chance to go to ant other Wembley games so good day out.

We didn't sell out the community shield at Wembley.

It's a costly business though. a semi final and final in the Fa cup can easily set you back £500 with transport/accommodation/ticket price etc.

Not sure where the name came from. Heard it maybe something to do with "rag" week for the ladies !!!

I hope they all play, and we still win 1-0.

Then we WILL be City's bogey team.

If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best. We did it in 73 and however unlikely it seems, we can do it again.
