Gus knew we were crap when he took over. However, he probably didn't realise just how crap we are. There is pace in the team, no creativity and we can't score goals. Does that sound like a recipe for relegation?

Yep I think so too, sadly he doesn't give me the impression of someone who's up for the fight.

Bows and arrows against the lightning at the moment, why would he bother with fighting? With every match towards relegation his reputation comes under greater threat. He'll walk before we go down, and with good reason. Why should he be the fall guy for years of poor decision making and laziness?

Can handle them taking a shot when it's there to have but can't believe how unbelievably poor the whole team are at striking a ball. It's like watching eleven Kenwynne Jones'

It's because the idiots in midfield aren't confident enough to get the ball to the forwards. Jozy is the only one showing his frustration but Fletch/Borini must be furious at aswell. Go back and watch how many times our forwards get touches in the 18

Awful isn't it. This shower of arseholes have driven me to the point of once planning my trips to Sunderland around home games and sod everything else and now to the opposite. All it does now is spoil my weekend.

For a good couple of years now I've only renewed because I'd miss the day out with my mates as opposed to wanting to see the football. Can't wait to see the back of some of these piss-taking wankers in the summer.

I hear what you're saying, but what did he think he was going to achieve when he took the job? A look at our squad and form should have told him something, did he think he was just going to walk in here and crack eggs with a stick?

Do us a favour gus, never play giacherrini again, hes f***ing rancid

Easy to twist words to whatever you want to hear mate. You're clearly one of the 'poor, poor pitiful me' brigade. Gus never said the fans were 'to blame for this shite'; he made the point that fans frustration transfers to the players
And intimated that this wouldn't make the players play better. It wouldn't help. If it is my 'lonely opinion', then maybe I'm just a bit brighter than you and your cohorts, because I don't find his concept problematical at all.
look standing around in the freezing rain and watch your team making an arse of themselves doesn't appeal to many people i know ,then the manager says the crowd's frustration transfered to the players, well no mate im sorry they were rubbish long before the crowd got frustrated today ,the crowd is the only good thing about SAFC these days .

If the midfielders could learn to shoot on target with power you'd find the strikers would have a lot more opportunity to get on the ball in the box with fumbles from the keeper or blocked shots, as it is the ball balloon hopelessly over the bar or trickles ten yards wide

He's right. The players haven't got the mentality and patience to play the passing game. There's always one resorts to a long ball or attempted through ball which isn't really on. You need to wait for the opposition to make a mistake and have the balls to keep possession without forcing it all the time. I'm sure he means no blame on the fans, he's saying the players feel the pressure from the fans - this guy knows his stuff. Why do fans always take offence, especially when things aren't going great?

sharing a season ticket this season more for the social side of things than anything else as i gave up on us doing anthing after having a season ticket for over 20 years

The last manager who tried to blame the fans got the old heave ho.

Hes rubbish mate, offers fuck all and likes to run into people 3 times his size
But but but he does fancy turns on the half way line.[DOUBLEPOST=1388599843][/DOUBLEPOST]

I don't think he is slating the fans for it.

Players should be affected by frustrations or cries of shoot

If Kenwynne was here now, we might have a slightly better chance. He could actually win a header and scored decent number. Our only chance went to palace.

If he wasnt an italian int people on here would be all over him giving him shit. Hes been the biggest dissapointment of the summer, he simply doesnt look suited to the game over here and looks like a lost little boy whos been called into a game with lads ten years older than him. Hes not fast he cant really beat a man and looks weak as piss.

According to the BBC website we had one shot on target.
