New Music Releases Thread

I imagine it'll be the same cities withi bigger venues. Couple of new places chucked in.

Seeing Frightened Rabbit tonight with Lanterns on the Lake supporting.

Aye I reckon they'll play Manchester or somewhere like that, seen them at the MEN in 2011. Will definitely travel to see them though if they don't come up here which I can't imagine they will.

Aye same, couple of days on the drink is normally enough to persuade my not that into music mates. :-)

Enjoy. Both are class

Saw half of Lanterns, very good, biggest crowd I've seen for a support band as well.

FR were ace, played a really long set as well, about an hour and a half I think, had to leave before the last song so no idea what that was...They played Keep Yourself Warm for the first time in a year. 8-) Class, really enjoyed it.

First gig at Newcastle Uni. Vocals were poor for half the gig. Pint of Carling was £3.70. Total rip off. Not the best venue IMO.

Seeing Frabbit next week down Sheffield, really looking forward to it. Shame We Were Promised Jetpacks are only doing the support gigs in Glasgow & Dublin, them and Lanterns on the Lake would have been class.

There's way less filler than The Suburbs mind, doesn't feel as long. Still only had 3 listens but I really like it. Joan of Arc is stuck on a loop in my head.

This!!!!

:lol::lol::lol: Cant get the shoop shoopy chorus bit out of my head.

Orpheus song is class too.

I'm surprised at how enjoyable it is considering the length of it, its only the Awful Sounds one I dont particularly like.

Awful Sound is one of the best on there!

The worst song is Flashbulb Eyes. Can't stand it.

I think all the songs off of reflektor have been stuck in my head at some time over the last week, i do have the album on constant repeat like.

Think its a fabulous album, was dreading it for the same reasons that Chunky was but i think its mint. Here comes the night time and Its never over are my two current favourites.

Seeing them in Blackpool in a few weeks. Cant wait.

The new Metronomy song is pretty decent, was hoping the album would be a bit sooner than March.

Only thing I'm looking forward to now for the rest of the year is Childish Gambino's new album. M83 doing the soundtrack for a film with Cantona in, that's out next week so hopefully that'll be decent as well.

Frabbit last night were f***ing class  best gig I've been to in ages. The three song encore & duet with Hazel from LotL were the highlights.

Loving the Metronomy track.

What did Hazel duet on?

I'm off to see Money tomorrow, heard good things about their live performances so quite looking forward to it.

Death Grips have given away a new album tonight, I know they have a decent fanbase on here. It's quite something.

Money were excellent tonight. Really really good. He has an amazing voice. Was dishing out a load of free Peroni bottles to anyone down the front! If they're playing near you I'd highly advise going to see them - and stand at the front for free beers all night! :-)

Heard a lot about the lead singer being a cock but IMO from what I saw tonight that couldn't be further from the truth.

Impressed me at End of the Road.

This Death Grips album is quite intense... (two and a half songs in)

Fuck This Place I think it's called? It's on their EP from a few years ago, the only thing I haven't listened to.

I don't know what's going on with me this year. I cannot get into any new bands, I take a listen or see them and think they're all pretense and hispterish. And I cannot even get into anything new by bands I previously loved like the National and Arcade Fire, I just cannot be arsed with it and I dunno why. I'm only 26!
