New Music Releases Thread

Wayne Coyne came on for a ramble before the show (admittedly about tornado in Oklahoma City)

They then played the Terror whilst he cuddled a toy doll

One old song (from memory), no balloons, no zorbing.

Just very dark

And I love them

Shite that, but at least you can still say you've seen them.

My Reflektor vinyl has just been dispatched should be with me by Saturday. :)

i
I'm not gonna listen to it until the day. Very loud

I'm gonna hate it. I love them. Best live band ever. And they have got steadily worse

I've acquired this and i think it's a welcome upturn for them. I thought Suburbs was rather 'meh' and it didnt make me want to go back to it. This one is quite vibrant and funky but still feels like Arcade Fire. The influence of James Murphy producing it for me has lifted their sound i think and probably stopped this from being their next poorer offering.

Arcade Fire really, really need to stop this super long album trend, it bores me to death, it was one of my main gripes with The Suburbs. The new one is 75 minutes long.

Didn't realise you got first access to tickets for their world tour if you ordered the album from their website, got it from Amazon instead

Also didn't realise that  £10 for the album, no delivery fee.

I thought the vinyl was a great price at £13 until I got to the delivery options, £6.50 was the cheapest, no thank you...I'll wait until it's released and buy it at Reflex or something. Do you have any idea when the Los Camp! albums get despatched? I can't remember if you got them early for pre-ordering.

Pretty sure in one of the emails they said they would be delivered a day earlier than the release date, so Monday I think?

Reflektor is bloody brilliant.

I always hammer and album with a couple of bottles of wine when it first comes out. Its class, love the groove and electronic feel, totally lightens what can be a bit of a dour experience, especially after 3 albums.[DOUBLEPOST=1382738838][/DOUBLEPOST]'Here comes the night time' - brilliant track

New Best Coast EP sounds like, well, Best Coast... better than the second album.

Omar Souleyman's album, "Wenu Wenu", is class. Exiled Syrian wedding singer doing his songs over a Four Tet produced mix of traditional music and electronica...

Arcade Fire album out today. Only had the time to give it one play through but it sounded very good, much better than I thought.

It's on Spotify for anyone interested.

In case you missed it (I posted the link in ANOTHER THREAD) there is an unplugged Arcade Fire set, recorded on Saturday (along with a rather good QOTSA one) in this:

Can anyone help me please?

I had a canny song yesterday on Radio 1 and i think the DJ was saying it was a band called The Preachers and they were a new band, possibly discovered by someone when he was on holiday in Australia ?!! He was going on like they had just unearthed this gem of a band. Cant really remember what it sounded like but it was canny good with i think a male vocalist and then a woman was harmonising towards the end.

...i think!
