This bloke has ruined everything. Our longest run in the top flight in my life time and this complete fool has fucked up so bad that this season could potentially bring back the "worst team in history" title.

Remember the stick Bob Murray used to get? The bloke wasn't perfect by any means, but he was red n white and he knew his football. Short is clueless and has totally stripped our assets on the field while focusing solely on the clubs image. The fans couldn't give a fuck about the clubs image ffs.

Don't blame anyone else, it's Shorts fault we are in this mess.

Can't disagree with anything you say, Short gets off far too lightly in my opinion, as you say Bob Murray was villified on this board mercilessly during his tenure ( wrongly imo ), not sure what good slagging Short would achieve, but he deserves some for his inept overseeing of our rapidly sinking ship.

I find this difficult to believe considering we sold Bent, Jones, Henderson , Cana, Gyan and Mignolet for big fees.

If we have spent more than we've sold it only helps but highlight the serious issue here, we have sold our better players and failed to replace them with quality.

Short was doing a fine job until 22nd September, 2013. He has brought all this odium on his head because he didn't stand by HIS man. The anger and bitterness we're feeling and expressing now wasn't there to such a degree a month ago.
Many of us were prepared to see things get worse believing in time they'd get a whole lot better. Anybody who watched the first match under Paolo at Chelsea and yesterday's debacle had to see they were chalk and cheese.
Short is deservedly getting a lot of stick right now but I hope this will lessen as Poyet begins to sort out our rabble. My own view of Short will never be as favourable as before he fired Paolo.

That's the exact issue for 3/4 years we have overspent on crap players.

The business practices overseen by Quinn have contributed to the financial predicament and enforced prudence we are now working under. There is nothing wrong with the ideology Short is trying to impose, it is the speed and scale of it which has thrown our immediate future into doubt, compounded by keeping Di Canio in his post beyond the end of the season.

You got £20 million stuffed down the sofa each year to chuck at the club to keep it afloat. I'll happily back any chairman who comes in invests the same and then more to improve things. Short has been let down by the football people he has had. Bloody hell they always seem to be on the box giving their expert opinion. Quinn, Bruce, Mon, Keane - all seem to be the darlings of the media because of their football insight and knowledge, yet none managed to give us and average team while spending a shit load of money.

Short needs to take some blame for the situation we now find ourselves in, but the level of abuse he is taking on here is beyond a joke. People need to understand the additional TV money this season has finally allowed the club to break even. We simply couldn't continue to post huge operating losses.

The asset stripping thing is bullshit as well.
 
Bob Murray didn't know anything about football. Sound accountant and supporter no doubt, but for Gods sake lets not rewrite history too much

Its Shots fault we have people doing deals on behalf of the club who are not getting it right but I'm not blaming him for specific deals, that's what he pays his DoF for. To be fair to him he's thought I know nothing about football and I want a buffer to sort out the deals to make sure we selling the right players and buying the right players that match a philosophy and policy coming from the top. But get the wrong people in to implement and you end up being relegated.
