New Music Releases Thread

:-( i hope not but i think you're right.

still, it's giving me plenty of time to trail through my record collection and listen to older stuff that i've bought and not really giving a chance.

You will start realising that other genres that you hated are great and spend time exploring them.

I hated Country music with a passion when I was young. I love "Americana" now.

it's been a pretty poor year so far in my ears. there's only been handful of really good albums released. they seems to be a severe lack of good new bands coming through atm. in fact, it's been a bit dire for a while. it'll turn around at some point.

Uncut and Mojo are a canny read for finding new little pockets of stuff away from the chart darlings,A 4-5star review is always worth a look up

Nadine Shah's (from Whitburn) debut album comes out today. It's called 'Love your Dum and Mad' and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Had a mare

Just got my mitts on a watermarked copy of M O N E Y's album. It's incredible. Daughn Gibson's new album on Sub Pop and Wampire's debut are both cracking IMO. Arthur Beatrice's EP is bloody good too. Out shortly, listen to the first track drawn from it here.

Also for much newer, unsigned stuff, I've got a new daily column over at Best Fit that might be of interest. Shameless self-promo ;)

This was the first post that came up for me when trying to find this thread, weird. You got that Money album early! Not out until later this month iirc, I've booked up to see them.

This thread could get a nice boost now we can embed YouTube videos.

New Arctic Monkeys tunes are good. Cannot wait for their new album. They're my favourite band. Also looking forward to the new Franz Ferdinand one and have a feeling that the Babyshambles one might surprise a few people
