Wrong decision to bat first, then two woeful innings. Well played, skipper.
If the third umpire had done his job correctly we would be laughing here.

Now get back on PF kneejerking clown. As the 4th innings will be a horrible batting pitch, third umpire has just made it vastly harder for us to set an adequate score.

That extra half hour before lunch yesterday was a really bizarre decision too, just played into their hands. That and Steven Finn.

Decisions go for and against. Trott should've been given out by the on field umpire IMHO as it 'looked' out at the time.
what are you on about aleem dar knew he had hit it and was bemused when he was over turned.

I am more forgiving if a decision looks out in real time. If the umpire picked up an edge then he did fantastically well, but at full speed I thought it was out and would understand an on-field umpire giving a decision in those circumstances.

It seemed pretty clear for the stumping that there was no bat behind the line so I do think that was a mistake. As for Trott, it's a funny one: he needed evidence to overturn the decision - does the absence of a hotspot count as evidence? I'm not sure. But it looked out to me so I can understand it.

We also managed to do that ourselves with some very poor bowling. Why Cook didn't take Finn to one side I'll never know - he undid all our good work.

Just had a little bet on England to get 300+.

25% of thunderstorms tomorrow apparently, now that would juice this pitch right up.

It is exactly this reason they brought in DRS in the first place, because so many umpires weren't picking up those edges in real time, with many appalling decisions as a result, which were obvious when you looked at a replay.

Agreed after the decision we should have got on with it and done our job and it's easy to just blame someone else for our own shortcomings.

I'm still not convinced by finn

Warra fooking ball by pattinson

Gerrin wasted there last review the twats :lol:

Those who are shitting their knickers npw are probably the same people who had the cigars out when we had them 9 down.

Ffs :oops::lol:

What aren't you convinced about?

He will always be a bowler who goes for a runs and will always be a bowler who takes wickets
.
I dunno what it is tbh he's just more piechucker than a dangerous bowler more often than not.

But he's young and that improves with time, jimmy used to be erratic as hell iirc as I was canny young when he was a young bowler.

You just described Graham Onions, who looks a more dangerous wicket-taking bowler.

Finn is just too erratic for me, a bit like Broad a couple of years ago: he just doesn't seem to quite get it right

Bonus with Finn is, that he can bowl 93mph+ when he wants to.
