Members lounge is now available up to 3pm today which is just as well because it looks like everyone will be in there today.
 
The rain is supposed to taper off as the day goes on but whether that comes early enough for a decent amount of play is the question.

Optimisticlly - we might get up to 70 overs. Pessimistically, we won't get by play!
 
According to the club's twitter, it has brightened up but the covers are still on while they remove the water from them.

My guess is a 2pm start if no further rain.
 
I'm assuming they've taken an early Lunch. Think this will open up the debate once more with regards to 'extra time' or making up of overs. I think all they can do is take an extra half an hour which is only a measly 8 overs or so added.

Frustrating when the forecast is set to improve all day, with rain not even on the map for after 4pm. We'll no doubt be faced with beautiful sunshine at about 6:30 when they trudge off having called it a day.
 
Umpires to inspect again at 3pm. Obviously the umpires are sufficiently clairvoyant that, despite a howling drying wind, to be sure that conditions won't improve for another hour.
