Tim Wellock -
Another shower after 30 minutes’ play was followed by bright sunshine and the ice cream van arrived at the same time as the cement mixer. Whether the workmen laying the foundations for the new stand will fancy a Mr Whippy on such a cold day is doubtful.

Middlesex dont seem to like the cold NE weather.

Hope summer doesn't break out in this match or we could be in trouble.

Anyone at the ground able to say what the pitch/conditions are like? Are we getting some assistance? More so than them yesterday perhaps? Or is it mint bowling/shit batting?

According to the forecast weather is similar tomorrow then improves on Saturday. Would be brilliant to get them following on in these conditions and leave the sunshine for an run chase.

Great effort so far today.

A mixture of both with the assistance of the umpires. Nothing wrong with the pitch.

Didn't notice GO had a 5fer. How ridiculous he can't get a game for England

Shame about the follow on, but the good news is weather looks much better tomorrow than predicted and we could have some sunlight to bat in

Would be a better option than Finn at the minute who looks to be trying to iron out his technical flaws at the very highest level. Onions is in great form, bowls stump to stump with good pace and is perfect for English conditions.

Sadly, I think he's below even Bresnan in the pecking ordee
