Similar to yorkshire game so far. Hope we don't get rooted again

Its a good position. Hope the pitch isn't flattening out, otherwise we should really win this weather permitting.

Given the same situation, I hope Colly makes the same declaration. It was right then and it would be right now. Sometimes the other team deserves credit and if we declare in that situation we would probably win 19 times out of 20.

I hope he does the same. Depending on the fall of wicket, I'd like to see us change the batting order. Mustard at 4 if were say 180/2

Abso f***ing lutely!

And I'm sure he will

Doubtful there's a batsman in England in better form than root right now

Good position but shouldn't get too far ahead of ourselves. 200+ more runs on the tins then think about 4th innings.

Very good position to be in though.

Leave 3 and a half sessions to bowl them out. If we don't get bowled out in that time we should have a lead of at least 350. All weather permitting, of course

Forecast remarkably good now. Which could mean we are trying to bowl them out under clear skies again....

This pitch is very good for quality cricket matches nowadays

250 lead wins you most games at the Riverside. That little session tonight was a huge bonus. If we can muster another 200 runs like you say, we will be well and truly in the box seat.

Middlesex did well to get to 196 today, best of luck chasing 300 on the last day.
