So they now demand that the club supports a left wing ideology! But not to include Di Canio in any of it. What a complete bunch of tossers. this is exactly the sort of narrow minded action that gave Maggie the public support needed to close the mines. Give them back the banner. I'd rather the club give him the banner back and do something to work with ex miners and their family's directly who are the people who matter in all of this

I suspect it's because they've got fuck all else to do. It must be great for the likes of Hopper - here is the opportunity to become something again.
 
The club should tell them to fuck off, they're a bunch of nobodies and I wouldn't want to see SAFC bending over backwards and getting involved in political activities just to keep them happy. Give them the banner back and tell them to get fucked.

I am from a mining background and have supported the Gala and other events celebrating mining heritage.

Last year will now be the last Gala I ever attend. I have very good friends who are left wing and totally disagree with them on this issue. Absolute nutters the lot of em!
