Are you suggesting that illegal drugs can be administered for medicinal purposes?

Here comes the brains of the outfit.

Dangerous drugs are administered for medicinal purposes. The legality of them is irrelevant to their toxicity and potential harmful effects.

All drugs exist as chemical entities in their own right before governments decide which, if any, should be made illegal.

did a few times when i was a kid. 24, sound editor.

If you're still on the coke at that age I'd suggest finding better ways to spend your time. You're not a rock star, you're a 24 year old sound editor from Sunderland and no amount of coke is going to change that. Time to face facts and grow up mate.

I don't get this.

Coke makes you feel a buzz. In the same way alcohol gives you a buzz.

I've never taken cocaine myself, but it strikes me as very hypocritical for people to slam criticism on those who take drugs when most of us are getting pissed half the time.

exactly

nee fucka tackled this yet:

Alcohol is viewed totally differently.
How many here take a drink with their kids in the house or room?
How many on here take drugs in the same scenario?
Many parents take their kids for a drink at a certain age how many introduce their kids to drugs?
I think that it speaks volumes myself.

I didn't as the answer seemed quite obvious.

The answer to each of the questions above is that alcohol is legal and 'drugs' aren't and havent been for most part of the 20th century and culture has developed around alcohol which have often been driven by commerical interests.

Before the 1920's opiates, heroin, cocaine, cannabis, magic mushrooms etc were all legal. The world has a history of 'drugs' being used postively in societies.

As for alcohol, it had a horrendous reputation prior to this and was blamed for may of societies ills hence attempts to make it illegal. In the 19th century alcohol was the devils work.

Being caught in possession of cocaine is a crime and could (in theory) lead to a criminal conviction, loss of your job etc. If you don't give a fuck and feel that you have nothing to lose then I feel sorry for you. If you know all that and still do it anyway because you can't have a good time without it/peer pressure etc then you're weak.

Btw no woman worth her salt likes a weak man. From experience, the good ones tend to go for men who are in control of themselves and take control of situations.

Much in the same way that dentists routinely use derivatives of cocaine to numb yer gob.

Aye, the list goes on and on.

(I think) every drug you can only get on prescription is illegal to possess without a prescription?

I was prescribed diazepam a few years ago due to being a mega puff who was scared of trains. That would be illegal to give to someone else but was legal for me.
