good use of the referral system there.... still think the game is slipping away though as 2nd innings will be just as tough.

wouldnt call this the tail like. these two are showing england how to bat in the sub. runs come slowly, so be patient and stay in. taking the game away from us now.
150 run lead when we are going to do the bulk of our batting on day 4 to catch up will be a monumentous recovery from England.
I am not convinced are batsman are skilled enough to rattle off 400 against their spin attack on day 4/5 to make this interesting but fingers crossed
i have similar concerns. IF our batsmen can stay in and get starts then it should get easier.
Need to skittle them out for less than 150 lead, if we can do that then we have a chance of saving the test (as long as we dont collapse again).
Good day today allorund, we bowled well, they batted decent. LOVE TEST CRICKET ME.
just found this on cric info
''Only once in the past 20 years have England won a completed Test after making less than 200 in the first innings of a match''
EB ^
It's great to see bowlers taking wickets on fairly flat pitches for once.
Usually its 600/7 plays out 450/5

dangermows said:Agreed. All the bowlers did well today, with Broad being the stand out! If we are to have any chance of winning this we need to hope Pakistan play as poorly in their 2nd innings as England did in their 1st.
Where you off in Lanka while I think on DM?
Trent Bridge last year we didn't get many first innings?

Go middle of Feb. Works out so I cant see any of the tests over there (will be back before the series kicks off) and will miss the derby
aye, i was down for that test. Broadys hat trick was top dollar!
You still heading out there for a test like?

Ive seen it a few times and no idea how you can think he was out.
The 3rd umpire saya he hears a noise, is that good enough to give someone out. All the evidence from video and hot spot shows he missed it.
Shocking call from the 3rd umpire
