Gerard Brophy and Jack Rudolph almost certainly and possibly Adam Lyth who had a poor season.

The basis is their for an excellent young side with only McGrath and Sidebottom over 30.

IMO its getting rid of Rudolph which has cost you, only bought him back this year when it was too late

Rudolph left so his wife could work as a doctor in South Africa and returned on a short team deal. Missed his runs but also suffered through Rashid having a much better time with the bat than the ball.

we are not really in a position to talk tbh. If Benks hangs his boots up we will be struggling, but Colly should compensate

Getting batted out of this game, wickets needed fast.

Quite concerning how we've been failing in the middle order of late. With the start we had we should have gotten past 300. Not sure about our bowling attack either, surely we need to get someone in for Claydon/Thorpe.

Ah well, there's one.

Worcs bowled out for 288, meaning they have not got enough bonus points to stay up. Hopefully giving Hampshire the incentive to give it a real go against Warwickshire (who are now 8 down, but I can't work out why they've batted for nearly 2 days).

Some rain at Taunton would be nice now.

So if the other 2 matches finished draws from here but warks and Lancs get full bonus points

Durham win, who win's the league?

I think both Warwickshire and Lancs would have to lose for us to win the league

If Warwickshire some how get no bowling points and draw (6 points points in total from the game), Lancs get 4 batting points and draw (9 points in total) and we win (having already got 5 bonus points) every one is level on points. So what is the next thing taken into consideration? Head to head or number of wins?

I may however have worked this all out completely wrong.

I think it goes to no. of wins?

In which case we lose.... Warks only need 3 more points, draw will scupper us

Sadly it looks like we are out of it. 5 batting points would have made it interesting

Cracking fightback this afternoon, going to need things to go tits up for Lancs and Warks now though to sneak it :-|

Thought it might have been. So we need a miracle from Hampshire. A draw at Taunton is still enough for us though as long as Lancs dont get many more batting points... I think.

I'm hoping Hampshire score about 500 and lose no more than 8 wickets in the first 110 overs. Then Warwickshire might have to try and give Hampshire a sporting declaration - losing the game on Day 4, whilst Lancashire struggle to a rain-affected draw which all leads nicely to a Durham win and a third Championship in 4 years for the D's :-D

Then I'll wake up.

On a serious note, great fightback from Durham today! Last 5 wickets for 5 runs was a great effort and I thought our collapse (8-118) was bad :-o. I'm going to enjoy the last couple of days of our season and cheer the lads on to hopefully another victory. Whilst also keeping an eye on the excitement of the other 2, battling it out. I'm hoping Lancashire win it, I've said for a couple of weeks or so now that if we don't win it, I'd rather they did. Warwickshire want shooting for only getting 3 batting bonus points too, they were only 4 wickets down at 110 overs and could quite easily have gone for at the very least 350, they only needed about 50 from 12 overs this morning with 7 wickets left :-o.

Edit - Karl Turner is 52 not out overnight for Notts too. Congratulations to him on his first First Class 50.

Spotted a Beeb balls up like, from here - .

Durham closed on 51 without loss in their second innings with a lead of 27. The home side's slim title hopes were ended when Warwickshire picked up a sixth bonus point against Hampshire.

Warwickshire only have 3 bonus points. Unless the writer can predict the future :lol:. Mind they will get 3 more points, atleast. Just angered me a tad....... Lazy journo's, can't expect much else from the BBC to be fair.

Getting quite interesting

If Warks don't start taking wickets they may have to bat out the 2nd innings to ensure we don't win. They may also have to set a target

This could mean it's there for Lancs to go and grab it

Crikey

we're having a spurt

. . 4 . | 4 . . . 3 2 | 4 . 3 1 4 . | 1 4 2 1 1

collys just whacked a 6 gan on lad, hope we make it an enjoyable end to the season for those at the riverside regardless of the outcome. would be nice to see rocky pile on the runs too so he can start next season confident, his progress is going to be crucial to us as diva gets closer to the end of his career
