Somerset doing fuckall without Tresco again!

I don't want to even think about a follow-on, lots of scoreboard pressure on Notts currently but if they can get to 424 you'd feel it would be more or less at Close tomorrow - which wouldn't leave a lot of time for Warks to engineer a win.

As for Hampshire, I really think they need to get somewhere near parity. Lots of time left there, we know how Aigburth can play on Day 4 and in 4th innings.....

Edit: Close at Edgbaston: Notts 86-1. Trail by 488 (need 338 to avoid follow-on) and Hales is 52* - I've said it before, that Hales is a player mind!

I'm still hopeful in both games. Hampshire need one decent partnership to get close to, or dare I say it, ahead of Lancs, and Notts look like they're having a go there too.

Plus, you can never trust the weather in September. Whatever anybody says. ;-)

Worth a cheeky bid? ;-)

People have been giving me surprisingly good odds on BF for Lancs and Warks wins

If Durham don't win it by minor points, it goes back to the innings declaration against Hampshire that'd seen us with at least the 3 extra points for the draw.

I had no problem with that declaration at all

Risk 3 points for the sake of 16.

Like putting £3 on at 4/1 on an even money shot

I'd agree with them sentiments. We stood to gain more than we stood to lose. For me the defeat at home to Sussex will be the main reason for us missing out. The way we batted in the 2nd innings there whilst setting a target was embarrassing.

Bowling first at Taunton wasn't a good idea either.
