TMS talking about a declaration!
Surely best to bat through tomorrow morning as far as possible, and still have a full 5 sessions after that to get them out.
Yep - declaration would have to be at something well over a 450 lead for me.

I reckon we will get to around 400 or just over tomorrow. Get some quick runs and declare, then there's 2 days to bowl India out.
Strauss is far too cautious to declare with India having a chance of winning. He will only declare if he knows there is no chance of India winning.
Might just be me, but I don't see India getting 400, Strauss might. Like what they said before on Sky, Strauss trusts his bowlers, so England will keep on batting positively. Like you said we will declare whenever Strauss is confident and doesn't see a way back for India. 400 declared is just my IMO, but I wouldn't be surprised to see us declare near 500 at lunch.
In an ideal world we keep pushing this and by lunch tomorrow we could be close to 500 ahead.
It's a test match, you don't give the opposition a sniff.I dont think they will either, I think 400 will be enough.
But Strauss wont declare 400 ahead, no chance. It's not how he captains, he's more safety first.

If the Indians got two batsmen in they could absolutely romp to 400. If time wasn't on our side I could understand but 5 sessions is more than enough to bowl a side out.
Strauss won't declare until England are 450 plus ahead. If all goes to plan that will be by about lunch.
And rightly so.Strauss won't declare until England are 450 plus ahead. If all goes to plan that will be by about lunch.
Hopefully bat until lunch tomorrow, if we're batting at the pace we did in the final session today we will have a lead of at least 450. Stick them in after lunch and have 5 sessions to bowl them out. They'd probably have to bat at a decent rate to get 450 in 5 sessions too.
And will this pitch deteriorate and bring Swann into the equation?
