It's not cheating as such but it's very unsporting. You're right about walking off though - that's stupid. They could actually have run four as well.

Im not myself saying its cheating i was more aiming it at the above posts, but yes unsporting would be a better way to phrase it!

Bell will be kicking himself.

Leaves a bit of a bad taste but I don't think the Indians were really at fault. Awful way to end a great innings.

Very poor sportmanship. Dirty f*ckers. In their innings every time they leave their crease look to "technically" get them out..

They're booing in the stands, they're incandescent on the England balcony. Ian Bell cannot quite believe this - Kumar had given it up, and lingered over the ropes for a good three or four seconds without bothering to pick the ball up. When he finally did it was with all the body language of a man who has just let it go for four. None of the Indian fielders around the wicket were bothering to ask for the ball back, and so Bell began to walk off having punched gloves with Morgan.

The fielder was not that bothered was he? Surely its unsporting to pretend its gone for 4? If he even knew, he was the closest so acted like it was a 4. So away from the tv's that would have been a 4.... Tv ruins the game right?

I have to say, if that's accurate then you have to wonder why he behaved in that way. I'd be asking serious questions about that.

Has there been a replay of the fielding by the boundary?

He didn't have a clue where the ball was initially, to be fair to him. It hit his knee so I'm guessing he'll have thought it was a 4.

Yes and it's clearly not a 4 but Kumar does seem to limber around with very little hurry to throw the ball back in, as if it had been a boundary.

Tufnell is making a very good point that Bell 'tapped' his bat down for the second run, and then walked up the pitch and off.

If this is the case then he wasn't attempting a 'run' and shouldn't be called out anyway.

Otherwise everytime an Indian batsman leaves his crease now to bat down the ground we should look to 'run them out'

Gloves are off now (no pun intended) ;-)

''sportsmanship'' :lol

its not a game on the local village green FFS

Bell is a dickhead plain and simple

A bit strong. He played a brilliant innings but was a little careless in allowing himself to be run out.
