This. IMO When he pulled it back he thought it would have stayed in, but then it clattered into his knee so its hardly surprising if he thought it went.
 

Shame that the innings itself will be over looked was one of the best innings Bell has played

Nasser's saying the Indian's always check with the umpire before they start wandering around because of people trying to run you out like that.
 
India will wish they were getting on the plane back tonight. The respect from the English crowds has vanished in an instant.

Still slightly strange to not make an attempt to field the ball again, surely if you didn't know where the ball had gone, the first thing you would do is quickly try and see if you can still keep it from going over the line?

I'm not doubting the fielder, he had no idea, but away from the tv's that would have been a 4 as the fielder thought so and should say because cricket is so "sporting".

I just hope they are going to stump them every time they leave the crease to pat down the ground, or play pretend 4's a few times.

You want to put your money on now Broad again in the second innings, chin music and wickets all the way. Ha'way lad!

I would agree with that as well but in his defence it looked very clumsy so maybe he just assumed it must of, its also worth saying that India have fielded like that all day :lol::lol:

The England players look like they wanted to kill the Indians, haway England. Has he withdrew his appeal?
 
Fair play to the Indians here, Bell was out and he was as much to blame for that as anyone. Excellent sportsmanship and I hope the crowd reflects that now.
