Broad should never have been dropped. Hes not bowling great but you have to have players who are performing clearly better if you are going to drop someone of his ability.

He's been dropped because he hasn't been on top of his game, and Patel has done well to work his way back in. Its a slow pitch today at OT and Patel will bowl well due to a slow, turning pitch, this has just been confirmed by Gower, Beefy and Nasser. If Broad played today and bowled his normal long hops, the England total would be knocked off in no time.

Patel playing is fine for the reasons given however Bresnan and particularly Dernbach havent looked any better than Broad and I would rather go with the player who can be a match winner and can score runs unless someone is putting in top drawer performances and forcing the change.

Bresnan or Dernbach are bound to win the game for England now :)

hauld on Mrs Broad, Bresnan got two wickets in the last ODI :confused: Broad's been dropped because he simply hasnt been good enough and the pitch is turning so Patel's been brought in. Sick of having to repeat the same thing

Possibly because he takes wickets, something Broad has been allergic to for quite some time now.
