If we want to be the best we need to go for this. The Aussies in there pomp would do just that and so should we.

However as the blokes on the telly just said they doubt we will

only real chance of a result is if england get knocked over 2mro morning.

if not, we'll bat too long imo.

we wont be number 1 because our bowling isnt good enough

our best four is as good an attack as any at the mo surely!?

altho i do agree we fall short without the magic of anderson.

to go 2nd in the rankings we need to win 3-0, it aint gonna happen

I'm saying nowt about Broad lads ;)

Broad reminds me of Flintoff in his early career as a bowler for England. He bowls well, looks threatening but doesnt take enough wickets. He has all the attributes though and hopefully he will mirror Fred and have a similar second half of his test career.

Bizarrely Finn often hoys some utter shit down and walks off with figures that flatter him.

Cant disagree with any of that.

Finn does bowl some utter filth like

fair enough

id say englands attack can hold their own against that and has more variety.

what sum1 who swings it both ways at 90mph

a tall hit the deck bowler

a leggie with all the varieties of Warne

a stock bowler who bowls brisk awayers and a heavy ball

yeah alright

nee one swings it better than anderson and swann is the best spinner in cricket. both facts. kallis can do a job but is well past his best now.

edit: just an after thought. when did the Saffers get shot of the legend that is Harris?
