Wish the FA would grow a f*cking pair and instead of looking out for their pal they should be sacking him. Absolutely useless. His record is absolutely woeful against top teams. As for anybody who says he's got us to a semi final and final... Look at the teams we played... And even in that run Colombia took us to pens which is anybody's luck on prevailing into the next round. Genuinely can't stand him and it's a waste considering the talented players England currently have. F*ck the FA and f*ck Southgate.

Southgate has done a decent job with decent players IMO. Far, far better than anyone did with our so called golden generation of Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes and Rooney etc.
The problem with a lot of fans (and that's what they are not supporters, not that I am either
) is they get an idea in their head and that's a fact and they won't sway from it.
Henderson is shit. He isn't, he's a good, dependable, experienced pro. Good player to have around when the going gets tough. He's pretty much our vice captain too.
Southgate is negative. He is trying to get the best out of the players at his disposal. If you play Kane, Saka, Foden and Bellingham you do need more defensive minded midfielders to allow them to play without worrying too much about defence.

We basically have 5 or 6 very good players. Kane, Bellingham, Walker, Stones and Foden. You could argue about Rice and Saka too.
We also have an average 2nd centre back and left back whoever you choose. An average goaly at international level too, he isn't at the top level.
Southgate is doing far better than I thought he would when he took over from Sam. He's got us regularly into the knock out phases. We didn't get anywhere near that level from 1970 to 1984 for example. We had good players then but we couldn't get a tune out of them.

Why is everyone saying Southgate is doing a good job because this team isn't on par with the golden generation but fail to mention that the other international teams are also not on par. Brazil and Germany of 2002 are significantly better than today's equivalent. Based on the pool of players in the world TODAY and not of the golden generation era... We have the arguably the best number 9 and 10 in the world, okay maybe Kane is secondary to Haaland. Foden and Saka are as good as anybody given their age, Rice is one of the best box to box midfielders, Mainoo is as good as anybody his age, Walker is probably the second best RB in the world after Hakimi. Stones is a vital player for the best club team in the world... Therefore, we have elite players. Even a second strong of: Ramsdale, Trent, Konsa, Maguire, Chilwell, JWP, Gallagher, Maddison, Bowen, Rashford, Watkins should be getting to the semis / finals of the previous tournaments given our fixtures in them.
