Rivalry is good and every club/fan who has a neighbour/rival will relate to it.
I'm afraid ours is beginning to border on obsession now though and almost a little creepy and unhealthy. Trouble is people like you just can't see the woods for the trees on this issue unfortunately.

The only things bordering on creepy are most of your sanctimonious posts. The Internet, and social media can in themselves be unhealthy, but we're all part of what makes it that way. Message boards like this should not be taken so seriously. The majority of fans, just go about their daily lives doing other things than obsessing with mags.

After the last few days we have seen some disappointing, yet not surprising, behavior by some of our fans

• On here - Constant negativity and threads about the Mags
• Boo'ing and frustration at the match on Sat

Why the constant negativity? we are trying to build something, yet some on here expect it overnight! acting almost like spoiled children.

Why the constant threads about them up the road? We call them obsessed! We are just as bad.

The main issue is the boo'ing and very vocal frustration at the match, we pass it around and its 'get the fucker forward man!' hoof it up and it's 'keep the fucker on the deck!'. These people who boo because we are trying to play in the right way and embed a style of play throughout the club are utter morons and the match would be better off without them.

No wonder we have such a high turnover of managers.

It seems to be mainly our fans from Tyneside who are crying all the time. The mackems seem a little more loyal

Fair enough there wasn't booing but there was a lot of groaning at our opting to recycle possession when an opening wasn't there. Patience is a virtue and something that, sadly, a lot of our fans lack. There is a good team in there. It's up to us as fans to decide if we want to show faith in the system Poyet is trying to build, or to twist and moan to the point the players lose faith, abandon it, we go down and Gus gets the boot leaving us back at square one. Choice is yours really.
