When he was appointed he thanked the club for the autonomy he was getting - KLD has been too hands off. Speakman is an academy manager who has built himself a nice little empire here. It's no coincidence Neil and Mowbray couldn't stomach him and I have a sneaky feeling Beale may have been a combination of jumped and pushed.
