Nigel Farage...

I dont like the SNP/Marxists but I would like to hope that they clean up in Scotland at the expense of The Liebour Party. Be canny if Farage could be some sort of power broker in all of this with perhaps the Bullingdon Boys (best case scenario really). Bound to be an EU referendum then. Clearly no one wants Liebour in power and the Liberals are finished.

Anyone got any idea the earliest we would get out of the EU when the majority votes no?

According to most polls, conducted by the left and the right, approximately 1 in 3 people do. Which is roughly the same as the Tories and more than UKIP and the Liberals combined.

I have faith that UKIP and in particular Farage have the well being of this country at heart and will act in a decisive manner, should they get anywhere near power to reverse the move towards the destruction of the UK by the left wing loonies and the incompetence of the Bullingdon Boys.

Are UKIP really that different?

Take Reckless. An Oxford PPE graduate with a background in finance in the City and a backbench Tory MP (where incidentally he missed a budget vote cause he was pissed). Where is the evidence that he has the credentials to be anti-Westminster and anti-establishment as UKIP claim to be?

Ah, faith, look where that kept us for the last thousands of years...

You only have to look at their pillaging of Tory ranks to see they are no different from the other three. In my opinion UKIP is misleading a genuine feeling of resentment and need for change. If they get to power with their Velcro policy board I bet they surprise everyone, even more so the people who voted for them.

Really dont know why theres a panic about UKIP or the idea that voting for them will effect the General Election at best UKIP will get around 10 seats any more will be astonishing! The threat to Labour winning is the SNP and Labour's collapse up there.

He's the new Clegg.

We're heading towards a Con/Ukip coalition. That'll see the end of Ukip, and maybe the end of centrist politics too.

There is no way Labour will be anywhere next GE - maybe true right wing opposition is exactly what they need.

Labour inevitably will have some form of role in the next government

Nope, couldn't be further from the truth; small business owner.

Don't let that stop you reverting to type and trying to throw insults around, perhaps you could try "Champagne Socialist prick" next?
Ok - so that explains why you would be against an anti-immigration party - you wouldnt want to see all those nice immigrants forcing down wages dry up.

Britains furher in waiting.
Tidied
The only good thing about this ukip flirtation is its scaring the big two parties and bringing in more choice
Granted that choice is a ultra right wing one with cranks. And halfwits exposing ideology from the 1930-40s
But it's a start... Will we see a left wing counter point to their right wing fascism lite? I hope so

UKIP are not misleading anyone. They are clearly reflecting the genuine feeling of resentment and need for change. Until a party comes along to compete with them then all the country has is UKIP or in Scotland the SNP.

I like Farage. He has worked his clems off for years to get himself and UKIP to where they are now. It's also obvious why some people can't stand him. He is abrasive and very much marmite.

The man will never be PM and I don't think he really wants to be. I do feel it is important that him and UKIP rumble on for a while yet as they are spiking interest in politics and are doing a pretty good job of rocking the boat. If the big two weren't so horrifically poor you'd never hear of Farage.

I'm also sure people vastly underestimate him because they don't agree with him and that is one of his greatest strengths.

Hopefully not but the Tories have been the nasty party whilst in power and even though Red Ed and Comrade Harman are clearly inept you may well be right. Be interesting too see if the SNP wipe them out in Scotland or not.

Nice try but you are way off the mark.

I dislike UKIP for the same reasons I dislike the Tory, Liberal and Labour parties because they are full of short sighted, self-serving, lying hypocrites of which Farage is a perfect example.

Was quickly skim reading the thread and thought that read centre parcs, yeah they are decent but pricey, thought a holiday in England would've been right up Nige's street

You are right they have been totally inept but are still close in the polls and history tells us almost unanimously that the party not in power gets a groundswell nearing the election. Can't see them not winning the most seats or managing somehow to form a coalition.
