Buckley is only on £20K with bonuses. He got the basic of £15K cause he did not play enough for the bonuses. £15K is still too much for an injury prone player for a Championship club.

Agree. In the interview with Borini he said he was looking forward to getting fit over the international break as he had been training on his own at Liverpool. We should surely have adopted the same approach with those players who we want shot of. Mind you, there are so many that they'd have their own little squad to keep themselves company, so we'd need to stagger their training times.

I don't think it ws massive. On £11K at Brighton on a long contract. Just upped it to £15K, about the mimimum plus bonuses. If deGuzman had signed he would have been on £30K a week and Graham might be on £40K a week and Gawd knows how much Fletcher is on?

It is just the TV money means that reserve player are priced out for Championship clubs w/o parachute payments. And parachute clubs are looking to off load high earners and Forest and Blackburn are both on transfer embargoes, Leeds are stingy. Hardly leaves any clubs that are prepared to pay PL reserve team wages. Buckley may only play half the games because of injury. That's the problem.

That's what happened. Short contracts. Still think Buckley could hare down the wing and put the ball on Borini's head. Does it twice in a game and plays half the game time and that is statistically good enough.

high wages should never be a problem when selling, if we've paid him £10k too much per week we just have to bite the bullet and pay the difference and then try not to make a habit of buying crap players in the future.

Nottingham Forest interested in a loan according to twitter. If Championship clubs can afford to buy £10mill players off each other they could afford him. I think they know we are desperate to get rid and so are trying to get a good deal, which they are entitled to do.
