Could have sworn I saw a lad called Januzaj playing for us the other day. - Loans don't count?

Who wont be here next year leaving another gap in the team, like weve seen before with Ki, Rose, Borini, Welbeck, Bendtner

Im all for loans but they should be used to support your starting 11, we will have borrowed a right back for 2 seasons in a row, thats just piss poor.

As mental as it sounds I think it's both. Every summer we piss about scrimping and saving until after the season has started then panic buy.

2012 - Cuellar and Saha on frees then spent big on Fletcher and Johnson after the season started when we'd started without any strikers
2013 - 14 in for the price of 3 out
2014 - Jones, Pants and Gomez on frees then Rodwell for big money after the season started
2015 - Kaboul and Coates for relative pennies plus Lens then bought Borini the day before the deadline to appease the fans after chanting against Short against Norwich
2016 - No signings before Djilibodji in August, a couple of cheap squad players then Ndong on deadline day for big money

Kind of backs up the cheap signings theory though doesn't it?

They've been doing this for years because it saves on wages, however the down side is we play with fire every year also and it clearly doesn't work

Fabio Borini (born 29 March 1991) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Premier Leagueclub Sunderland.

He started his career at Bologna, before moving to Chelsea in 2007. In 2011, Borini joined Championship sideSwansea City on loan, and eventually signed for Roma, before moving to Liverpool in 2012. He spent the 2013–14 season on loan at Sunderland, becoming a fans' favourite during his time there,[3] and after a season back at Liverpool he joined Sunderland permanently in August 2015.

We have 1 striker who is nearly 34 and a 17 year old.

Might have been an idea to sign another one.

f***ing joke

Injured apparently, next

It wouldn't surprise me if we could have signed ndong for £10m but Short offered an extra £3m just to appease the fuckwits amongst our support.

'Eeee well he beat our transfer record so he must be a good owner, like!'

Tbf it would probably be better spent than the current shite we waste money on

That's nice but he's out for at least 3 months
