My deal has just ran out and they want £71.50/ month now

Moving house this week so was wanting to add internet in with the Tv but they claim the best they can do is knock 20% off the tv deal and then bog standard broadband so would still be £80 all in anyway

They're lying. Cancel and sign up as a new customer at new house and get the lot for next to nowt.

Yeah, going to see about bumping into one of the 'sky guys' while I'm out tomorrow and register as a new customer. Has to be a cheaper alternative than that much

I rang up to cancel last week as somehow my bill has jumped to £104 a month now some offers have ended. The lad offered about £20 a month off that so I told him no deal and cancelled.

Logged into the MySky app today and the was a 50% discount offer there. Been on the live chat just now and the 50% is off TV only. After a bit of negotiating they're gonna give me free broadband too but full price line rental. TV comes in at £40 for movies, sport, HD etc and then £17 for the phone so £57 all in for 12 months. Plus for some reason he said he was giving me a £20 bill credit too.

I'm happy enough with that. Suppose it's all relative as to what you deem value for money. I know I could get a lot of the content elsewhere for less but I like the ease of the Sky TV platform.

When I left sky 3 years ago they tempted me back with a 12 month everything inc HD package for £20/m

Keep on missing a suspicious Derby number the last couple of weeks................and its live:lol:

they hook them with adverts & music & make it look good & bundle all the crap you don't want into 1 package & BELIVE IN BETTER

sky's for chavs to watch tv all day / something to shove kids in front off while they spend hours on facebook.

sky has adverts , stuff that.

used to be a sky fan boy but got to a price point & said enough, I don't watch that much tv & then when you got footy back there's enough in my planner for a few hours viewing.

Sky is for chavs. I have heard it all now. What a knacker. @girojim

who else has got time to watch crap tv all day :p sky, facebook, the sun etc etc built for chav's, hate people that quote facebook to me like its REAL

I'm still on sherlock season 1 :p got suff going back ages still to watch on hard drives. I've nearly finished avatar :p

I only have time for some footy, corra's, eastenders & thats about it.

Out of interest what makes you state 100mbps+ for these alternatives?
Stability I guess? For example, say you have multiple devices in your household and you want to watch the match at the highest quality, with a decent line (I'd say that 100mbps+ is more than adequate) you will notice little to no problems however with a poor line you are more likely to experience buffering issues.

Likewise! 100mbps fibre to pull down a 3mbps stream!
With a 100mbps line you are going to get a download speed of roughly 10mb/s, that means if you have a 30mbps line you will be downloading at roughly 3mb/s meaning the stream will utilise the majority if not all of your data. If you were to connect an additional device and begin using that it is possible that you will notice issues with your dodgy streams ;)

Ignorance of the bandwidth requirements of dodgy streams is my guess. ;)

Dependent on the quality, Shirlee?
