How desperate are them up the road?

Do you honestly think I'm either unaware, or that I've not accepted it?

I fear you've jumped into a conversation and as such may have misunderstood. :(

I'd put Norwich as a good shout to win it, but they've not yet strengthened and have lost Redmond who would have torn up that division.

Association Football has been around much longer than that, and evidence of games played by kicking a ball exist way back in antiquity...

Oh, wait, you're being hilarious and original by suggesting that all Newcastle fans only discovered the sport because of our brief dalliance with success that followed Keegan's appointment. Gotcha. The common reply to something like that on here is "Chertle" isn't it?

 Jesus wept, the standard of digs is pitiful.
I wouldnt say blowing the title In a humongously humorous way is a brief dalliance with success. Actually following through and winning it like Leicester did last season is, what you did back then was more akin to Jim Bowen in bullseye saying lets see what you could have won when you've just had 6 darts at 101 and scored 9.

It was more like if they scored 100 with their first three darts, then missed the board entirely with their next three.

I would say that winning the Premier League is success, not a mere flirtation with, but if you're desperate for those internet points I'm happy to change the word "Dalliance" for "Flirtation" if that works for you.

It was in response to your comments about crowds not changing much at the shitpit, think if you look back pre 92 you will find they have fuckface

Who spends? It's not Ashley. You lot always tell us this.
Newcastle United will spend the money that it has accumulated from Player Sales and the various sponsorships, tv deals and whatnot. It won't be Mike Ashley the private citizen.

Hope that clears it up.

My comments where I said "years", and not "decades"? I'm not entirely sure what relevance NUFC's attendances from the 50s, or 80s, would have to the decline of attendances experienced by Aston Villa since the turn of this century. Could you enlighten me?

Maybe if the same had applied to some of Newcastles players you would still be in the Premier League. ;)
Maybe? Had Moussa Sissoko, Wijnaldum and latterly Janmaat and Shelvey bothered their arses consistently I'm certain we wouldn't have been relegated. But they didn't, so we were.

No, this has carried on from yesterday when one of your fellow gobshites was quoting % figures and we were second bottom of attendances according to him, you backed him up on that. That figure is totally irrelevant and makes you look like you've contradicted yourself yet again.

I haven't spoken about sunderland's attendances in anything but positive terms, so lets not be making horseshit up, eh?

Keep me up to date on this. Does it mean that this season that will be acceptable, but next season your fans will be back to sending the bloke death threats and demanding him out, if he doesn't lay his personal empire on the line to bankroll NUFC?

You will appreciate that it is hard to keep up.
What what?

Gan outside or something ffs @The Fish
These other barcode knackers pretend to at least have a life outside of our messageboard, on occasion.

If you lose but have more corners and shots off target than your opponents, is that considered a "Flirtation With A Win" ??

We all await the return of greatness to the northeast.... when newcassel ascends from the league depths to claim their rightful place in the top tier, led by the man made God, Raffa the Gaffa.

... and the Rapture of Del Norte, when all Greggs sossidge rerls spontaneously bleed ketchup.

The stuff of miracles.

Quite the non sequitur, congrats.

Man on internet forum tells other man on internet forum to go outside.

I can't really do my job outside, unfortunately.

Tell me, do you think that by repeating tired, staid, unoriginal cliches that you'll somehow draw my ire? If you want to try and wind me up you'll have to be more adventurous than repeating whatever phrases are de rigueur.

So you talk about Sunderland in positive terms but state Villa had the lowest attendance, going by your logic that means Sunderland had the second lowest attendance in the league, no horseshit just what you posted.

No need for the smilies trying to be a clever fucker, you post that much shite on here you forget what bullshot you've posted.

Go on, deny you never posted about Villa and them having the lowest attendance.

I think it is safe to say that you spend much more time on here than me.

Fucked the quote up cos I am on my phone.
You are never off here, since you infested the place with your pseudo intellectual clap trap.

They have the lowest attendance by capacity and it's significantly lower than the next team, but Aston Villa have only really been struggling for the past 4 or 5 years. The decline in their attendances has been going on for longer than that. Sunderland's frequent fight against relegation has been going for long, yet your fans still turn up in numbers that other Premier League clubs would kill for.

I'm never off here apart from all those times when I'm not on here like evenings; weekends, busy days at work. Again, if I upset you so much with my reasoned and rational conversations, just pop me on ignore. It's very simple.

It's irrelevant, only yourself and another sad mag wanker are banging on about this capacity shite.

You can't knock Villa yet claim our support is exceptional, we had the second worst % according to your figures, what counts capacity or numbers through the gate? This is difficult for you I know but fuckin hell you are taking the piss.

You don't upset me, mate. Noone on the internet does.

I'm not trying to wind you up.

...having a laugh AT you... that is all.

You SMB mags are as silly as they come.

Of course I can, you had the 2nd worst, but it was still significantly higher % of cap (88%) than Villa's (79%) and it was significantly higher in terms of bums on seats (43,071 v 34,480). How is this controversial?

Villa they have a large fan base to pull from, they're a famous "Big" club, they've only very recently been finding themselves in the kind of mess that prolonged exposure to would mitigate drops in attendance. Yet they have comfortably the lowest average attendance by capacity in the league. The people in that area who identify themselves as Villa fans simply aren't going any more.

Here's your Premier League finishes versus theirs. You could say that it's only since 2013 that they've been consistently in trouble. They've had poor seasons before (95, 03, 06) but bounced back, 2013 was the first year that they stayed in the doldrums. So given that, I can say that their attendances are poor and yours are impressive considering the context.
