I agree with you that there needs to be checks. I'm fairly confident that Dave and Co. will be hand picking their vulnerable children after they've been through a fine tooth comb.

Great we can give them some of that huge surplus of jobs we have in this country

Well if by that you mean that they will already have been vetted and checked by UNHCR/ICRC etc. then what is your problem?

Unfortunately it appears to be a common tactic for adolescent young men to try to pass themselves off as kids.
It shows the content that some of them have for our rules and laws

if we can resettle 3000 kids from places like Italy and France then that's fine as long as we dont hear complaints about the supposed hundreds of thousands of children here already living under the poverty line and besieging food banks.

obviously the government will be kicking all of those to the back of the queue now?

or do they not have it bad after all ? which is it ?

id send them to Scotland to be honest and make sure they don't just disappear ( which I suspect they will)

because we all know the social services are stretched and unable to cope anyway.

these kids are only going to go one way when they arrive and that's to more abuse I'd wager

I wouldn't trust any UK government to cope without spending massive cash that will get swallowed up by private landlords agencies and the like

the kids won't be any safer

As I've said in other threads, I would allow more genuine asylum seekers into the country. I'm not naive enough to think it's all gonna be rosy and it's not gonna cost the taxpayer.
 
the real response would be to build a massive refugee camp and keep them safe here where we can look after them and keep a track on everything.

letting them loose in a open society is a disaster waiting to happen

There are millions of people in desperate conditions around the world.
We can't take everyone that claims to be desperate in

that wouldn't please the politicians seeking capital out of it though
 
why not take over the Western Sahara it's vast and muslim and there's not many people there, then simply move all the refugees there,all the EU can chip in with a few billion for tents,portakabins etc etc
