I'll second the shouts for Caulker.

If there was any truth in the Banega enquiry in Jan, I'd love us to go back in for him if we stop up. Tremendous quality in the middle of the park.
 
When we stay up...
Ditch: Bridcutt, Gardner, Jozy, Fletcher and Cuellar.
Re-sign Bardsley, Larsson and Colback.
Try to sign: Ustari, Alonso, Vergini, Ki (to play in the holding midfield role he did well), Welbeck, Holtby, Bryan Ruiz, Borini, a right back, possibly another right back, Bendtner (as his style might actually suit what we're now trying to do) plus another attacking option (maybe Sigurddson?). Sandro, anyone?

God knows who we will sign if we go down. I think we would still have some pull over most championship sides to maybe grab some of the better championship players.

If we stay up, of course we can look at the bigger name players rather than lower leagues but for gods sake, make sure they can come in and do a job now. South American players seem to have this problem unless they have played in Europe previously. European leagues have some cracking players, its just making sure we can get the right ones in to make an impact right away. Alessandrini from rennes is a name ive been hearing a lot of. It all depends aswell on how players look at us. Scrapping with relegation year in year out is not something these players want to take a risk leaving their lesser leagues for. Rather continue to impress in hope of someone better coming.

Nope. Bardsley, Larsson and Colback are decent PL squad players. If they go, they'll only need replacing with similar quality PL players, which will cost the club more money. As it stands, we're going to have to sign 10+ players, again.
