Zan Vipotnik (transfer rumour)

Everything's fine. The last 5 months of last season were fine. The squad that's 9 days away from the start of next season is fine. Don't know what people are annoyed about :)
Did I say everything was fine? I was just pointing out the frequent tantrums.

Just because I’m not joining in doesn’t mean I’m happy because I’m really not happy at all, fwiw.

1 goal every 238 minutes in Ligue 2 last season.
Mendy got 1 goal every 147 minutes in the same league.

Now maybe he turns out to be a good player, but we already have a few forwards with it all to prove.
fair point re goals per game comparison, would be even stronger if we’d actually signed him

Hmmm, obviously we don't know if the club even tried to get him - but if we did it'd be disappointing to lose a potential target to Swansea, not a team with huge amounts of money, when he'd be coming in to start for us from day one.

I find the approach under KLD so frustrating as a supporter. We seem to be penny-pinching to the absolute extreme.
Some ITKs on here said we were in for him

They’ll keep their heads down

Why? Based on what? You've basically just done what some Sheff Wed fans have done when we signed Poveda - "Oh they must be paying him huge wages, only explanation".
Vipotnik would have commanded a fee normally this will be factored into wage. Maybe we won't break wage structure.

We'll have enquired about what he wants wages wise and then ran a mile.

You'd think the lad would have been perfect for the model, but again, the tight restraints on money sees us step aside.
Whilst that may be true, surely you would expect with the new deals for Ballard, Rigg, Hume etc over the last twelve months, they aren’t penny pinching to that extreme?

This is what they can’t get their head around.

I get called a happy clapper, which is absurd to be honest.

There’s a difference between genuine concerns and recognizing the stuff that’s going well and just moaning constantly, on every thread.

People just make stuff up to suit what they feel is right.

The recruitment is shit apparently, despite us going from having a squad of league one plodders to a load of young players other clubs want to spend a fortune on.

A load of young players, a few of whom other clubs might want to spend some decent money on, if we' re being honest.

I've no idea what they were on before and what they are on now. Stewart couldn't reach a deal and it looks like Clarke can't neither.

All those may still be well under what we'd regard as good wages. There's no transfer fee attached to extending contracts so makes sense to try and get lads tied down.

I think it's pretty clear that they don't want to spend money this summer.

It was pointed out a couple of weeks ago that there’s easily 100m of fees on our books should we choose to cash in.

That’s another fallacy that gets peddled as if it’s fact. KLD is selling everything that moves, except the only big outgoing was us getting a great fee for a crock.

Reactions: PS
So that’s a handful of championship clubs doing what we find impossible during the last couple of days.

The galling reality is that these players will no doubt be adding to the forward options already at these clubs.

Meanwhile at SAFC where we are absolutely desperate to find anyone remotely competent …..

What the fecks happened there?. This will never catch on.

They can't go out and sign players after a couple of days, everyone knows you need to piss about for weeks on end before signing anyone.
Shite anyway 😉

Hopefully we'll still have Clarke, Roberts, Poveda & Mundle on Sep 1st. I'd be happy with that
