Zak Johnson

Young lad who had a poor loan move early last season but resurrected his season with a loan move to Ireland, played out of position with 1st team and people write him off.. Looked very good season before in the youth setup, hopefully a good loan comes off for him and he returns ready to challenge for 1st team minutes

Not a daft thing to say. Him playing a season of blokes foootball at 18 could do him the world of good. The standard of u23 football can be very good technically, but not physical at all. There’s basically very few fully grown blokes hoying themselves about. Defenders especially can coast through games.
Nothing wrong with that logic mate, but saying he needs to 'kick start' his career, gives the impression his career is in the doldrums. In actual fact, at 18, he's barely begun it!

They're looking to sending him out on loan again in January to gain more experience and develop. He'll be 20 next summer with 1 year left on his contract, i'm not sure what they'll do with him as he can't get anywhere near the starting line up in the league. Maybe best for all that he moves on permantley to another club and get game time week in and week out

I hope the lad gets another contract with the club, what I've seen of him in the U21's he's going to be a decent centre back...

Mepham will go back to parent club, potentially Ballard leaves. He could definitely play his part and force his way into the 11 a la Watson. Obviously needs a sprinkling of fortune to go with it.

Why do you think that?

He's had decent experience on loan elsewhere. Get him on loan to a league club in January. Play 20 odd games and see how he goes
