Think Moeen & Woakes may well play to extend our batting (to cover for our dodgy batting - except for Root).

So think it will be - Jimmy, Woakes, Stokes, Moeen and Archer

Mo wont play in the Ashes, I am a big fan, but he was awful over there, Leach will be our spinner

you are right about the tail though and it might impact the seamers they pick

We will have a long tail but if Woakes is playing in Australia, we have problems.

Great lad, fine cricketer, but he won't offer a lot over there.

Leach is rightly considered the number one spinner at the moment, but for balance we could probably do with Bess having a fantastic summer and ousting him. Leaving us with an attack of Bess, 2 from Archer, Wood and Stone and 1 from Anderson and Broad.

The reality is that it will be Woakes, Archer, Anderson, Leach.

Anderson
Broad
Wood
Archer
Leach

Stokes as the 5th seamer.

I’d take Stone, Sam Curran and Woakes if we’re continuing the rest and rotation policy. Can’t see Ali playing out there and I’d have serious concerns about Bess unless there’s a massive upturn in form and confidence which leaves the question, who is the other spinner we take. Parkinson, Crane or Dawson may come into consideration or is Rashid the man?

Broad, S Curran, Archer, Stone, Wood, Robinson/Overton

Anderson to bow out, after another impressive, home summer.

Any three, from six

Supported by Leach and another.
Sibley
Burns
Crawley
Root
Stokes
Pope
Foakes
S Curran
Leach
Archer
Broad

Opening test at Brisbane
Actually, both Broad and Anderson to bow out, after another monumental summer

No room for sentiment

Jimmy and Broady, both deserve to finish together, on home turf.

I think Archer needs to get his finger out to even make the plane.

He's been disappointing for some time.

I agree that the likes of Sam Curran could be cannon fodder over there

Another angle, at least

Got something about him, tough cookie

Those sort of players in Australia, are vital

He certainly has, if he could put on a bit of pace he's be a cert but at low 80s and not swingiing it over there, he might only have the fact he's a left armer to offer.

Totally different in home tests when he canget away with his reduced pace.

On reflection, I genuinely believe, that both Broad and Anderson deserve to finish, in this country, with fans

Rotation around Australia, isn’t fitting, in my opinion.

If you wanted another angle then you'd maybe have Reece Topley there as a squad player... 6ft 7 left arm. Although he hardly plays FC stuff. Would be a bit of a left field Tremlett style pick.

Anyway Stone, Wood, Stokes & Anderson will offer plenty. I don't honestly see Broad doing owt in Australia. Moeen would be absolutely useless, even if he was in any sort of form which he's not.

I ain’t seen a lot of that Robinson, to be honest

He could be a better, bet.
