Yann M'vila - target or not?

Very fair point on some. Defoe signed because of fans love in similar to this one and ended up a massive failure. Dack signed because he's Mowbrays love child clearly.

The other ones I'll give you but alot were signed to help us get out of a shit tin pot league and the focus has clearly changed since we got in the Championship. Don't have to go any further down the team than the strikers to see the hopes of future "potential" value.

There's nobody in this world who can tell me the "model" isn't clearly focused on developing youngsters and selling for a profit. That's literally all what has been talked about on here for years 😂 the Brighton way and whatever other clubs.

And to be honest despite saying he'd start for us with 50% of his previous ability I don't even think we'll sign him.

The Brighton way?

The Brighton that signed Lallana, Milner & Wellbeck?

Mowbray signing. He wanted experience and was cheap.
Mvila is free and provides experience. Same way Dack, Batth, Evans, Pritchard and to a lesser extent Roberts arrived. Quality players with no initial outlay. They've always said that they wont spend fees on players 25+, they're not intending on every player in the squad being under 25. Thanks for proving my point.

Missing my point. He won't be match fit so let's say there is 5/6 games you lose him playing assume he plays u21 games to get some fitness. Leaves 12 games of the season left if we are adrift by then, big argument to say it is a waste of a signing.
He’s been out less time than Toney yet he’ll be playing first team football soon

Im not arguing the squad lacks experience. Every fan in the world knows that. The "model" is based around buying players and selling them for a profit:
Pritchard - we have tried to sell and just an FYI actively trying to sell him.
Batth - sold

Bit of a theme going on that players with no-resale value dont stick around.

Roberts being an anomaly as the club makes a profit on him when he is sold.

Why would he play U21 games ?!?!!?!
We can make up to 5 subs a game he can get fitness in the 1st team

So we're agreed its Ekwah he replaces then? That was easy

In all seriousness, we're severely missing a proper holding midfielder. Dan Neil has played his best football with Corry Evans and it led to Mowbray trying the daft tactic of ONien stepping in to midfield and hume tucking in to try and get him further up the pitch because we didnt have anyone responsible to put alongside him. Having Mvila and Pritchard to call upon and take the pressure off Jobe and Ekwah and rest their legs seems an absolute no brainer.
